I am unable to install either Civ III or Civ IV. Both installs freeze when I am asked to insert the second disc. My laptop computer is a Toshiba Tecra 8 and is about one year old. I appear to meet all the minimum requirements and most of the recommended requirements for IV. I have a Mathorsehockya DVD/CDRW UJDA770. I have tried updating the CD drivers from Toshiba without any resolution. I have also updated the latest video driver. I noticed that when I put the second CD in windows explorer opens another window showing the file. However, the whole process freezes. I have tried simply waiting as the y2K support site recommended. But, this does not work either. I think the issue has to do with the CD drive. I have read a few articles that indicated drives that are also used for burning can conflict. If this is the issue, are there ways around this. Please help!
