Question from a computer moron.

Installed game ok (I think)
Although like other games it did not give choice of full or partial install, nor did it say anything about registering.
Anyway, when I try to run the game I get a "insert disk in drive" message even if it is in.

Any ideas much appreciated:)

First of all, which version are you running? Is it Civ III Complete or just plain Vanilla Civ?

Civ III Cimplete says to uninstall any old version of Civ before installing. It installs all 3, Civ(vanilla), Play the world & Conquests(default setup). It should save all your old saved games but you need to play those with Civ Vanilla.

I also found that with my system the disk does not want to play in a "burner "drive. Don't know why but it happens.

Hope this helps

No idea what version it is. It's just Civ III on the box. Doesn't say anything about Complete, although when it asks for the disk it says please insert Civ Complete disk. The game came in a small box. No manual or anything... all instructions in game I assume. It was on't $10 so I suppose it's not a big deal.
I have only ever run Call to Power before but it is uninstalled now.

Thanks for your reply.
