Installing Conquests Problem

I own Conquests and have played it on an older laptop. Now I'm trying to load it to my new lap top running Windows XP with no success.

When I install the game, I get about 60% percent through when the loading stops. The CD runs then an error message occurs stating:

Component Transfer Error

Component: DirectX Installer
File Group: DirectX Installer
File: D:\DirectX/DirectX.cab
Error: Data Error (cycle redundancy check)



(I have DirectX 10 installed already.)
