Installing mods and new graphics

First time doing this and I have no idea where to place anything.

I have downloaded some buildings for Civ4 but have no clue where to place them so they can be used in game.

I have downloaded some buildings for Civ4 but have no clue where to place them so they can be used in game.

If you're just grabbing random art and thinking you can have it show-up in game, you've got a big learning-curve ahead of you.

There's a ton of XML work that usually is involved with adding any new unit or building graphic file(s). I suggest a visit the TUTORIALS section to find specific walkthroughs for different avenues of adding models.

Now MODS on the other hand are much simpler... if someone has already done the XML work for you with a mod, then you usually dump the mod into your Civ4/BtS/Mods folder, go to the "Advanced" menu and select the mod from the list.

It all depends on what you've been downloading and your intent.
