Intel Mac Solution for Civ 3 Complete

I just recently bought a new Intel Mac Pro and discovered, like many others, my Civ 3 Complete that had worked fine on my G5 was now useless (or so I thought).

I found this:

My Civ 3 is now working!

Thanks Alan. Since the thread title was QT 7.6 fix, I just assumed it didn't address the Leopard or Intel Mac issue. I thought this might be more clear.

Forgive me for asking for clarification, but... I was going to buy C3C several months ago, but read here that people were having trouble with it on the newer Intel Macs. Am I correctly reading that the issues have been resolved, and that I can go ahead and order CivIII Complete without reservation? All that I have to do is download and install the Aspyr fix that AlanH posted and all will run smoothly? Is that correct?

Hi, welcome.

You should have no problems as long as you use the latest and greatest from Aspyr. You must apply the Rev A patch first, and then download and install the new application file.

It should all run smoothly ... until Apple manages to break it again in future with another software update
