Intel's racist ad.

This is even worse than that Goldman Sachs ad with the Asian number-crunchers bowing down before the Jewish guy.

So, what do you think of this actual ad?

Group rape FTW!

:vomit:

And yet this ad went live... it's ten times worse than the Intel one IMO.

Probably unintentional but still sketchy. Ya couldn't have thrown in one white/hispanic/asian/indian runner just to break it up a little....?!

They photoshopped 1 sprinter into 6.

It's an unfortunate faux pas

It's obviously not intentionally racist.

Race is more of a hot topic than gender equality, with a louder lobby. But this is nothing. There was a huge movement in the fashion industry in the mid to late '90s which promoted "junky chic".

Porno chic is still very much the norm in the fashion industry. And while you may very well be right when you say that race is a hot topic, I still am outraged that people get all fussy about an Intel ad that's rather bland and find nothing wrong with an advertisement showing a woman about to get gang-raped.

Masquerouge, that ad is photoshopped. This is the real one:

My thoughts exactly. It fits like a glove

And I agree with the sentiments expressed in your previous post. I guess there's a sexiness in potential gang rape that they are appealing to / purveying.

You mean if the white guy in the Intel ad was half naked with oiled pecs, things would have been fine?

;)

I don't care about that advertising being subjected to many interpretation, I just wish all just place a icon of the company that makes it or an image of their product and leave it as it is without any photos that consist a person representing the product or a live footage of a person of whatever quality that is selling the product.

I thought it was coined "heroine chic."

Well there's the product to consider too. Such images would be "appropriate" for perfumes and haute couture, not quite so for IT and tech products.

I knew I was missing a beat when I posted. You are right!

But I put the winky smiley! I was being sarcastic

That girl looks very hungry :(

Man I was about to blast you because you were implying she was hungry for the gang rape  lucky for both of us I realized what you truly meant ;)

That Dolce & Gabanna ad looks like it may be targeted at the Ted Haggard crowd. Keep your wife graciously submissive and God will send you some rewards.

You can keep your winky to yourself good sir. IT adverts are not a laughing matter. :nono:
