Never seen this before. A bit ironic since the AIs always know the troop locations, it is interesting seeing them pretend not to.

It's better than them never using that option, though. It makes the game more fun to have to use counter- espionage against the AI.

BTW, I love your forign advisor  I would d/l that mod, except sometimes my mom comes in while I'm playing civ :ack:.

Could be worse, could be your wife.

That is pretty funny, tho, since like you said the AI already knows where the troops are.

Who's your domestic advisor, Pam Anderson? ;)

I've had the AI steal my world map before! Also, in LotR7 (Scouting Sid), they had a few odd AI espionage missions.

Never seen them steal troop plans, but one time they stole a world map when they knew what the world looked like. They also sabotaged production, but that actually makes sense.

Just because the AI "knows" everything about the world, including your troop dispositions, doesn't mean it *always* acts on that knowledge. It is programmed to behave as if it doesn't know everything, *most* of the time. ;)

For instance, even though it knows there is Iron in those hills, until it has explored/traded maps to allow it to *officially* see a path there, it won't send a Settler there.

I agree. The AI programming should in general try to play as much as possible as a human player, and not act upon its spoiler knowledge. However, I feel plan stealing is a little bit over the top,
