International Web order by country

Even tho I don´t like what I´ve seen so far, I preorderd today. 29 euro´s is a fair price I think. Thanx for the work.:thumbsup:

Thanks for mentioning Gameplay. I'm sure there are others who like to have the promise of getting it on release date in UK for only 99p extra for first class mail.

Now players in UK have two interesting options: a promise of getting it on release day from Gameplay.com at GBP 25.98 and getting it from Play.com for GPB 17.99 some 3-5 days later. For 8 quid, how much ale do you get in the pub?

gonna get the special edition from the U.S i thnk and wait a few days.

3-5 working days... it'll basically mean getting it after the Friday. Can't be sent on weekends, so it'll be on the next week from Monday. It'll be on it's way come Monday/Tuesday, and probably arrive Wednesday November 2nd if pre-ordered from Play.com.

That's been my experience with them (and i've ordered at least 10 items from Play.com, even more so from Gameplay).

So yes, you're paying £25.98 to receive the game PROBABLY on the 27th, but at very worst release day. Gameplay for me have normally sent pre-orders on the Wednesday before the Friday the said games come out, and i've received all of them on the Thursday.
Alternatively you can pay the £17.99 to get the game at worst case scenario on November 2nd from Play.com. Your choice!


Your typical pint of lager is £2.50 here, so that's a good 3 pints you can buy with that £8 by the way! :-p

Game.co.uk is 10 pounds more expensive than Play.com anyway, and by Janos' account the latter will have it in your hands late Oct / early Nov too. So unless you want to pay 8 pounds for a week of play time (and order from GamePlay), then go to Play.com.

As to the pre-order edition, the information posted by Thunderfall on the homepage clearly indicates that the German Take2 representative said that the German (and all other European versions) will come with the 220 page manual (although perhaps not spiral bound) and will have the tech tree fold out.

To some extent it does explain why the international versions will again be slower than the US version, but it really makes one wonder how many versions will be released. Will the UK / NL / EU version also contain the tech tree and the 220 page manual? Or is there an el-cheapo US version without documentation that's shipped out to Europe for the non-localised versions?
 
Started the thread, but finally pre-ordered myself today :D

From Play.com for GBP 17.99 incl shipping. Figured for my purposes I shouldn't wait for a localised version.

Not to mention that cd-wow also ships to Hungary (in fact all of EU) for 37.99 euro incl. shipping (expected shipping time 1 week). Note they recently upped the price from 28.99. For most of western Europe play.com still has the best offer, but they haven't caught onto EU-25 yet.

I ordered from Yahoo (I'm Dutch), it costst only 4€ extra because of the cheap dollar (compared to Bol.com (49€ + 2€ shipping). And I get the game a week earlier I suppose, and it's the special edition.

Bol.com is rediculously expensive anyway with its suggested retail price of 49 euri. At the top of the thread you see four web shops in NL that deliver the game for significantly less (cheapest £17.99 = €26.75 from play.com, but also €37.99 for cd-wow.nl, etc). And I hope for you the shipping time from US is less than one or even two weeks. With the US security scare, my experience is that trans-atlantic mail can be a lot slower than it used to be.
 
Any news on whether Play.com will ship on October 28th or not?
