Interplanar Travel

Awsome new idea. How bout a mod that allows you to travel across the planes (other universes basically). It'd be cool to play a game on the elemental plane of fire

How would that work though? Transfering to a new map back and forth in the same game? Would I have to wait untill the SRD?

I think you'll be waiting for the SDK. Kael's FfH has plans for a separate Hell plane I know. Eventually maybe our Lunar mod will have either a return trip to a post-apoc Earth or Mars way down the road.

It's be great if someone could figure out how to do that. I loved having the maps with different levels to them in Civ2:Test of Time.

Me too, I really missed that. Just imagine if when you fly to Alpha Centauri, you actually get to colonize it, and maybe fight off aliens.

The aliens were Mind Worms which were more of a plantlike lifeforce that dwelled on the planet. If you play the game Alpha Centuria there's some realy intressting things that happen as time goes on and you unleash the forces of the planet.

And the main idea I got for this was a D&D mod. Imagine colonizing hell

In the expansion (which I have!) Alien Crossfire, you fought off invading aliens too!

I was thinking like in ToT. I never reallt got to play Alpha Cetauri. My Uncle bought me the expansion for my birthday when I was like 11, and installed the original game on our computer. I got to play it for like a month before we had to reformat the thing.

OMG find that thing, it's AMAZING. I bought it this year and it's all I played over winter break (I didn't have acess to my computer, only my girlfriend's who could never support Civ IV) Seriously, the quotes, the research, the...everything...I prefer it to civ 4 in many ways (customize your own units in game!!!) It had a few weaknesses, but easily in my top 5 games of all time...

but that would be awesome, imagine playing vanilla, then once someone wins space race, you blast to AC, and depending on how good you did on earth, you get more or less unit on Alpha Centauri that would be a mod worth playing

I can't wait till the SDK comes out. The stuff that'll be acomplished by modders (if we can learn the damn coding )
