Into the Past
The year is 2385 A.D. The world is is starving itself. Massive droughts and diseases cloak the lands. Knowing the end was very near, all the majors powers of earth came together to formulate a path for human survival. The brightest scientists were gathered to devise this plan. After many years of painstaking research the scientists discovered the greatest discovery of mankind. A machine that could turn the hands of time. The teleport.
The machine that was built was amazing but the scientists were not happy with the results. Test subjects had no memory after being teleported except the primal instincts of survival and social skills. And that was just days back in time. With the memory loss issue, the scientists were afraid that after being teleported thousands of years, man may never be able evolve to the civilization it was at the peak of its time. But the powers at be made the decision to use it any way.
The great pilgrimage, as it came to be called, was set in action. 100,000 people from each of the great nations were selected via a lottery system. They were all between the ages of 8 and 30. Most were families, but not all. They were all cleared of sickness and diseases. In the year of 2400 A.D. they said their goodbyes and they were sent through the portal. Human existence would be saved at the cost of many lives. Only time would tell if they would succeed....
This is the next story I am going to begin. I'm not sue which way I want to play it though. As history book style our narrative. Advice or thoughts anyone. It is an earth map with random starting locations. 10-12 civilizations.
P.S.- I'm not done with my current story just getting the foundation laid for this one.
