Looking through this subforum, I found two other Into the Renaissance threads:

The crashing/freezing might be due to a similar problem, but it is not obvious if it is the same issue as what I encountered.
I recently encountered two bugs (played Deity with the Ottomans):
#1. The game froze (transitioning to the last turn). I had just signed a peace treaty with Austria which gave me control of several of their cities. One of them was up near Riga (Latvia). When transitioning to the next turn, several things happen normally, and then I get the "you have encountered Riga" screen but when choosing to close it, the game freezes.
As a fix, I reloaded and gave away the northernmost city (which would cause me to encounter Riga). The next turn proceeded okay (and I won the game, with about triple the score of the next closest competitor).
#2. Also, midway through the game, when I check the religion screen, it does not show the stats for all the other religions.
Earlier on, it did show all four religious beliefs (Islam, Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox, and later Protestantism). But later on it only showed the beliefs for Islam (I could still buy Cathedrals and units for Catholicism and Monasteries for Orthodox).
Don't know if it matters, but:
Mecca was still a City State.
Constantinople had been conquered by me early on.
I had fairly recently conquered the Vatican City (which had been married into Austria)
Wittenberg had been married into Austria.
My best guess is that maybe Austria marrying into all those holy cities created issues. Or that the scenario script of creating a new religion caused issues later on (but then other people would encounter the same bug).
