Introducing your new "Registrar"

I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce to you your new "Registrar" who will take on the formidable task of keeping the massive number of records that go with the monthly processes of making the games available for you to play.

With the completion of Gotm16-Rome we have crossed the milestones of having over 800 players on record with Gotm experience and a total of over 2000 completed games.

Karasu has been working behind the scenes as a volunteer on the GOTM staff since January of this year and has slowly taken hold of key tasks that will focus on making the records of the game have more personal and statistical meaning. Beginning this month he will begin to share with you some of the statistics that we have been compiling to help us understand player performance and well as to characterize the overall picture of how each individual GOTM game fits into the larger concepts of community play and shared experiences.

I sincerely thank you, Karasu, for making of your time available to make GOTM happen! You and everbody on the GOTM team have my greatest respect and appreciation for what you do to make us having fun with Civ3.

Thanks also for your continued fine work on my land improvement programs and railroad system in GOTM17. I think I will let you soon retire in serenity in one of the beautiful Carthagian cities.

I am only bringing a small contribution to the GOTM staff team, anyway, the other ones are doing the hardest part -but it's fun, and it's nice to be able to help.
