How did you obtained 1 with a double dice roll ?

:D

(I know I'm mean :D)

One other thing is the simple facet that the generator returns a number from 1-1024. If say the defender only has a 10% chance of winning there are still 102 different numbers that can be succesfully drawn to give the defender a win. And with the limited number of rounds for combat, this can cause a perceived problem of stringiness. Since 2, 95, 985, 50, 76, 524, 12, 105, 365 is a reasonable string. But this string will beat an elite attacker who has a 90% probability of winning.

About Killer's statement that he loses about 1/10 of cavalry vs archer combats:

I don't believe you, unless you attack with 1 HP Cavalry. If the Archer is fortified, you will loose a bit less than every twentieth battle, assuming both have 3 HP, less if they are veteran. Check the thread above again to see that the AI doesn't cheat with combat results.

I can't prove it, but it always seemed that a defending archer got more wins than it deserved. Today, I attacked regular archers on a desert- not fortified - with full strength elite cavalry 70 times and the archer won 6 times. This is not enough data to prove anything. I'll start keeping better records of archers defending....
