Invisible Letters in Reply Box

About 1/5 of the time I go to reply by hitting post reply or quote, the middle part of the reply box is messed up... letters don't appear in about three lines while I type them (although they sometimes show up later) and the rolleyes smily freaks out and changes into multiple faces.

I just thought I should let you know, it doesn't bother me too much (except when the voice in my left ear coordinates its speech with the changing smiley).

I've never had this problem before... So what browser do you have? version? and connection?

I'm with Becka: Sounds like you need a Young priest and an Old priest

Sounds like a computer memory problem to me.. What are your computer's specs?

I had that problem (sort of) on my other computer...

Pentium III, admittedly nearing the end of its memory capacity, - I had to switch to netscape to be able to the attachments necessary for PBEm, another wierd thing.

I'm due to get hard memory enhancement over the holidays maybe that will help. I wasn't sure if it were your problem or mine.

What is with everything on Gonzo?

Does it show up after a few minutes? If so chances are that your computer is bogged down. Sometimes when I type too fast and the page is still loading, I type and I type and then the lines appear. But it can go very slowly.

No it isn't like that hb. It appears in the middle of the page. I can work around it to some extent by scrolling up or down.

I normally just hit the enter button a few time to bring the text back and then finish my message and then replace it. It doesn't happen to me much. Mostly only after forum downtimes.

it has happened to me when all my memory has been drained. rebooting the computer helps.
