-502 CE: CONQUEST OF THE SOUTHERN ISLES

His Imperial Majesty who Rules this Nation Under Heaven, the Supreme Lord of the Hirajima Kingdom Who is Recognized by the Heavens as King Heinei of these Serene Islands has decreed in his infinite wisdom and authorized through the will of his peoples the conquest and annexation of those southwards isles from these pristine islands under the Hirajima Kingdom which are known in the local tongues as a variety of names. These islands, divided amongst a mind-bogglingly numerous tally of petty kings and dukes who all vie for great power, as scattered as a mound of cherry blossoms that disperses in the spring wind, must be united and consolidated under the loving care of the Hirajima Kingdom and Its King His Imperial Majesty.

The conquest of these varied isles shall likely go with little military happenstances. The inhabitants of these isles do not, as was seen from the splendorous accounts of the Imperial Court Scribe Hōrai no Ohatsuse, utilize weaponry in their petty internal disputes. Rather, they solely employ their own bodies in times and situations of conflict to clash with an opponent in a form of artistic combat, martial arts, so it may be called. While the details of this fluid, honestly quite impressive martial arts style shall not be here expanded upon, the fact of the matter remains that, against the illustrious steel and mighty spears of the Hirajima Kingdom and Its glorious armies, the fists and feet of the inhabitants of the southern isles shall be rendered useless, and a quick, simple conquest is thus achievable.

Thus does His Imperial Majesty authorize a rapid conquest of these southern isles to secure trade ports, a path to the south, and a useful emissary and missionary lifeline to the Sung Eastern Island. He thus devotes a military detachment on the order of [15 Infantry Squadrons] to the rapid subjugation of these fair isles.

The journey from the southernmost city of the Hirajima Kingdom, Sakura, to the northernmost isles of these to be conquered, those which are called the Amami Islands, lasts in fair condition and with lax rowing pace a maximum of five days. These very same Amami Islands are ruled, as discovered by the Honorable Hōrai no Ohatsuse, by a petty coalition of tribal entities and petty kingdoms that likens itself the Amami League. As disjointed and small this nation is, subjugation will prove to be swift and calm. Farther south from the Amami Isles, perhaps a day or two's worth of boat-travel, is a small island ruled by a Duke with an iron fist. The Duchy of the Isle of Tokuno will perhaps be a tougher walnut to crack, though with the lack of weaponry found amongst the indigenous peoples of the island, its own conquest should not expend too many resources. A similar sister state to that of Tokunoshima is the Kingdom of the Isle of Okinoerabu, similarly tyrannical in nature but similarly ripe for the picking for the Imperial Army of Hirajima.

Even farther south, and a small journey east, at a distance of around three or four days' travel, are the jewels of the southern isles, a chain of islands that is called the Uchinaa Islands. As befitting of their relative wealth and splendor, these Uchinaa Islands find themselves uncleanly divided into three distinct kingdoms, most powerful among all the southern isles in their own rights. The three Kingdoms are those of the Northern Mountain, of the Southern Mountain, and of the Central Mountain. Though the population and wealth of these states may be higher than those of Amami or Tokunoshima or Okinoerabujima, the lack of weapons will make this endeavour again an auspicious venture.

Farthest south and farthest east are those the four petty kingdoms of the Sakishima [Far Isles]. Shigaki, Yonaguni, Iriomote, and Miyako shall all fall in quick succession, and provide a safe, fast sea transit route to the Eastern Island of the Sung.

Spoiler Map of the Land of the Morning Calm :

The court of Hirajima sends its best regards to the court of Baekje.

The lands of the Rising Sun have historically held a fast friendship with that the most influential court of Baekje. However, with the incursion of the Jurchen peoples onto traditionally Han lands and with the development of powerful Chinese and Mongol states near this most serene and tranquil Land of the Morning Calm, we the Court of the Land of the Rising Sun find it most prudent that a powerful and united nation, especially one who is most interested in mutual cooperation with we the Hirajima Kingdom, be entrusted to administer the entirety of the Land of the Morning Calm. Given the beautiful and eternally cordial relations that have lasted evermore and will forever last between these two great nations, the Hirajima Kingdom would support the Kingdom of Baekje in its endeavour to acquire the entirety of the Han peninsula. This, according to the Hirajima Kingdom, entitles the Kingdom of Baekje currently administered by the rebellion-born Kingdom of Daemahan, the treacherous Kingdom of Silla, traditionally mutual enemies of Baekje and the Land of the Rising Sun, and the peninsular territories held illegally and unscrupulously by the Jin Kingdom (here meaning those territories up to the Yalu and Tumen Rivers).

The Hirajima Court is willing to provide both monetary and direct military support to aid the Kingdom of Baekje and its armies in their noble cause to unite the scattered Lands of the Morning Calm. In this righteous endeavour, and for the continuous support and friendship of and with the Hirajima Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty who Rules this Nation Under Heaven, the Supreme Lord of the Hirajima Kingdom Who is Recognized by the Heavens as King Heinei of these Serene Islands requests only one humble condition of the future Court of the Morning Calm. He begs for naught but the isle of Saishū [Jeju], currently under the immoral and illegal control of those who call themselves 'Great Mahan' who have wrenched free from the rightful control of the Kingdom of Baekje, such that this the Kingdom of the Islands and the Land of the Rising Sun may increase its potential for mutually beneficial commerce with not only the Land of the Morning Calm but also the Land of the Setting Sun.

Specifically, the Hirajima Court would like to offer funding in the area of [5 EP], as well as a contingency of 20 infantry companies and 5 cavalry companies to supplant the glorious armies of the King of Baekje in his virtuous bid to unify the Land of the Morning Calm.

In the next two decades, the Hirajima Court will use these troops to support Baekje in consolidating the current Samhan by conquering Daemahan and Silla. Soon, with proper consolidation of these joint armies, His Imperial Majesty hopes to see the Jurchens forced out of the Land of the Morning Calm, though with the current disarrayed status of the Samhan, and with the currently meager supplies arrayed at our mutual disposal, a direct assault on the Fourth Han following the conquest of Daemahan and Silla seems impossible.

We hope that the King of Baekje sees the intrinsic value behind this offer, and wish that he soon be able to claim his rightful title as King of All the Lands of the Morning Calm.

Baekje graciously accepts the Hirajima proposal. May our two nations prosper in peace and friendship, and may the peninsula be reunified and prosperous.

Thus in this utmost auspicious year, with the blessings of the divine Kami that bless the fruitful relationship between the Hirajima and Kudara Kingdoms, does His Imperial Majesty who Rules this Nation Under Heaven, the Supreme Lord of the Hirajima Kingdom Who is Recognized by the Heavens as King Heinei of these Serene Islands, hand in hand with the Great King Muryeong of the Kingdom of Kudara, henceforth declares the eternal friendship of the Lands of the Rising Sun and those of the Morning Calm, and recognize King Muryeong as not only King of Kudara, but King of All the Lands of the Morning Calm. Thus does His Imperial Majesty decide in his infinite wisdom to assist his most beloved friend King Muryeong in his reconquest of the breakaway lands of the Morning Calm which find themselves under the usurper kingdoms of Taimagan and Shiragi. To directly assist in the reconquest of the Three Han [here disregarding the northern Dai-kinchō Kingdom, which represents too great a temporal and current threat to even the combined powers of Kudara and Hirajima], His Imperial Majesty has directly authorize the transfer of funds from the Imperial Treasure House on the order of [5 EP] to the Court of Kudara in Ireijō to help finance the direct subjugation of the rebellious Shiragi and Taimagan states. No mercy will be held for these traitors.

In addition, His Imperial Majesty has also authorized the formation of a new army to assist in the Kudara conquest of the Land of the Morning Calm, to be known as the 'Solar Contingent' [太陽軍;Taiyō-gun], a force on the order of [15 Infantry Companies, 5 Cavalry Companies], to be supported by the full might of the Imperial Hirajima Navy [20 Squadrons].

The proceedings of this glorious military endeavour shall, from the side of the Land of the Rising Sun, advance as such:

Spoiler Invasion Paths :
TpaZfgo.png

First and foremost, the bulk of the Solar Contingent [10 Infantry Companies, 5 Cavalry Companies] shall embark from the City of Tsushima to the Shiragi port of Kyojissan, where, in tandem with 15 Squadrons of the Imperial Hirajima Navy, they shall siege and seize the city, securing a safe port of entry for further Hirajima troops. After capturing Kyojissan [which, along with the rest of Shiragi, will summarily be transferred to King Muryeong], the Solar Contingent shall traverse up the Nakdong River and branch off to the Shiragi capital of Jorabatsu. After the surrender of Jorabatsu, the Solar Contingent will recuperate and recover its losses, then after conquering the rest of Shiragi, will regroup with the minor contingency group [which will be summarily detailed] to conquer the petty Kingdom of Taimagan.

The aforementioned minor contingency group of the greater Solar Contingent [5 Infantry Companies] shall be ferried from Ōmura to the Taimagan-held Island of Saishū [Jeju], accompanied by the remainder of the Imperial Hirajima Navy [5 Squadrons]. The conquest of Saishū is expected to be quick, but bloody, due to a minor Taimagan military presence on the island, but a lack of Taimagan military fortifications or structures. After the successful conquest of Saishū [which will not be accorded to the Kingdom of Kudara as stands by the agreement between the Kingdoms of Kudara and Hirajima], this small contingent force will fortify the island until they have sufficiently recuperated in strength and assault the mainland of Taimagan at the port of Sori, after which they will meet up with and join the main Solar Contingent to secure Kudara control over the Three Han.

After the successful Kudara conquests of Taimagan and Shiragi, the Solar Contingent will be disbanded and its constituent forces will return to the Hirajima Kingdom.

INTERNAL:

-SOUTHERN ISLES ADMINISTRATION

The organization of the newly acquired southern isles shall be embarked upon in quick proceedings. These new possessions shall be incorporated into the Eighth Circuit of the Hirajima Kingdom, that which shall be named the Nantōdō [南島道; Southern Islands Circuit]. The islands themselves as a cohesive entity, apart from the government-assigned legal nomenclature, shall be given the name Nantō-ko [南島弧;Southern Isles Arc]. The old petty kingdoms and tribal entities that once divided the Southern Islands will be replaced by new administrative divisions that will be accorded by the Imperial Court in Taitenka'heian-keijō. These divisions will follow the geographical as opposed to the former political landscape of the isles.

Spoiler New Southern Isles :
iCTknBr.png

The new internal divisions of the new Southern Islands Circuit will be as follows:

The Prefecture of Uchinaa [家儺県; Uchinaa-ken], consisting of the former Three Mountains Kingdoms

The Prefecture of Amami [奄美県; Amami-ken], consisting of the former Amami League and Tokunoshima and Okinoerabujima petty kingdoms

The Sakishima Prefecture [先島県; Sakishima-ken], consisting of the former Shigaki, Yonaguni, Iriomote, and Miyako indigenous petty kingdoms

-SAISHŪ ADMINISTRATION

The Island of Saishū, newly conquered from the former Taimagan Rebel Kingdom, will be accorded to the Saikaidō, and will be administered locally from a newly designated city to be built in the future called Tan'ra [耽羅] on the north shore of the isle.

PROJECTS:

-512 CE: SEVEN GREAT WESTERN PORTS PROJECT

In this most august and most auspicious year His Imperial Majesty who Rules this Nation Under Heaven, the Supreme Lord of the Hirajima Kingdom Who is Recognized by the Heavens as King Heinei of these Serene Islands decrees the beginning of the construction of Seven Great Ports in Saikaidō.

Spoiler Map of the Seven Ports :
T6OWEIu.png

Seven Ports:
1. Ōmura [大村]
2. Tōishi [東石]
3. Sai’ishi [西石]
4. Togitsu [時津]
5. Matsukai [松海]
6. Haenosaki [南風崎]
7. Sasebo [佐世保]

Of these seven, only Ōmura is already extant. The other six must be expanded from their current status as fishing villages [4,5,6,7], or must be built up from the ground [2,3] into veritable international ports for trade with the Land of the Morning Calm and the Land of the Setting Sun. Administratively, these seven ports will all be incorporated into a new city that will replace Ōmura as one of the two core cities in Saikaidō. This city shall be called Shizusaki [静崎], and will consist of administratively the entirety of the Seven Great Ports as well as some intermediary territory. As such, this new city of Shizusaki will be, for all intents and purposes, legally the largest city in the world by land area, though certainly not by population. Thus His Imperial Majesty does decree, in accordance with the trade agreements proffered to Hirajima neighbours, that these seven ports in the city of Shizusaki be open to all foreign trade and that land be offered at very cheap prices to ethnic Hirajima such that this new city may grow at a massive rate.

DIPLOMACY [T'will be posted in thread too after update or such truck]:

In accordance with the recent reconquest of the Three Han of the Southern Lands of the Morning Calm by the King of Kudara who is named Muryeong, His Imperial Majesty who Rules this Nation Under Heaven, the Supreme Lord of the Hirajima Kingdom Who is Recognized by the Heavens as King Heinei of these Serene Islands, and his loyal subjects in the Imperial Court of the Hirajima Kingdom and the peasantry of the Hirajima Kingdom itself congratulate King Muryeong on his stunning and fantastic victory over those rebellious elements that formerly comprised the Taimagan and Shiragi Kingdoms, but now find themselves in their rightful place under the crown of Kudara. It is thus that His Imperial Majesty would like to, in accordance with the will of the Gods, and in tandem with King Muryeong, recognize King Muryeong as not only King of Kudara, Shiragi, and Taimagan, those the Sahan, but also as King of All the Lands of the Morning Calm, that which includes the territories illegally and illegitimately occupied by the Dai-kinchō Kingdom to the north. May the friendship between these two grand Kingdoms, those of the Rising Sun and of the Morning Calm, last beyond the passing spans of the only human lives of their mutual denizens.

INTERNAL AFFAIRS:

CITING the boundless growth of the Korean economy in regards to their accepting of Western tradition, the increased presence of European affairs near the local waters of Our Pristine Isle, and the continued weakness and instability of the formerly great Qing Empire of China, whereas the endlessly greedy Koreans and Europeans may take full and unrequited advantage of the proud Chinese, the 12th Shōgun of the grand Edo Bakufu, the Honorable Tokugawa Ieyoshi, with the full support and full consent of the Great 121st Emperor of Japan, Master of the Chrysanthemum Throne, His Imperial Majesty the Honorable Kōmei-tennō, declares that henceforth from this day, the most auspicious 23rd day of the 12th month*, the new Hitokoku Act will be in full effect.

The Hitokoku Act deals with aspects of the current dire situation that the glorious Empire of Japan and the Edo Bakufu find themselves in. With the aforementioned international grievances in conjunction with the internal gridlock that glorious Japan finds herself in, the Tokugawa Shogunate deems it necessary to centralize and modernize our great nation of Japan, for fear of being overcome by foreign barbarians. We will resist western influence to the last breath. The Russians and Dutch have arrived in Edo to attempt to seize Japanese sovereignty from us, but we will not succumb to their petty wills. The might of the Hermit Kingdom will prevail. First and foremost, in a bid to acquire the best and most advanced of Western goods and technologies without having the dirty westerners attempt to breach Japanese borders and taint Japanese culture, we will detail the creation of several expanded treaty ports in various cities across Japan. For the Russians, we shall build the treaty port of Sanjima in Hakodate, where solely Russian and approved Japanese traders may conduct business. For the Dutch, the treaty port of Dejima in Nagasaki will be maintained. If independent British, French, and Américan traders or corporations wish to conduct business with the great Shogunate, we will be happy to finance the construction of the treaty port of Kuroshima for the British in Naha, the treaty port of Anjima for the French in Kagoshima, and the treaty port of Shirojima for the Américans in Chiba. The sole traders allowed to access these treaty ports will be those personally vetted by the Shōgun, the Emperor, and a committee of Excellencies devoted to the advancement of Japan as a nation. Nonetheless, even as we do open up our great land to more trade, we must not neglect the most jarring problem that plagues Japan today.

The continued existence of the abomination that chains Japan to the ground known as the bakuhan taisei and their horridly decentralized han must be abolished, refurbished, and reconstituted to the best and most efficient method possible without sacrificing the time and lives of the Japanese people. It is widely known that it is indeed the han system that makes Japanese administration so difficult, costly, and inefficient. As such, the Emperor and Shōgun henceforth call together a Council of the Sandairōjū [Three Great Rōjū], consisting of the current Daimyō of the Han of Satsuma, of Kaga, of Chōshū. This council of the Sandairōjū will henceforth, by the Grace of the Emperor and with the approval of the Shōgun, be instituted as the sole administrators of the territories of Japan. By the might of the Emperor, and with the help of a few guns that will be brought in from the new treaty ports, we will, by sweet word or by military might, show the remaining Daimyō how to be a proper subject of the Emperor.

In order to prevent any unsavory form of rebellion by any arbitrary uppity Daimyō, the Shōgun has, with the consideration of the Emperor, and considering the fact that the majority of the military is in the hands of either the Shōgun or the Honorable members of the Council of the Sandairōjū, the great leaders of Japan have deemed it necessary and viable to declare the illegality of any private militaries [those of the Sandairōjū discounted] and to demand the immediate turnover of all military goods to the Government within four months. All those Daimyō noted to not be mobilizing to follow this order will be placed under immediate arrest and have their small militias disbanded by force.

The Gethic have plans.

We are to use our five claims to claim the four provinces of Malaysia and the single small isle province that is the city state of Singapore.

UW6RtfI.png

Note: is Singapore counted as a province in itself?

Now to additional orders.

The question of the San Jacinto Guerrillas must be answered. If they do not accept our offer to surrender (which would have allowed them to be exiled) then have Marshal Kasun Thyrng deployed. First scout out the location of the rebel hideout using spy plans to review the woodland and agents from the Forgotten Eye to deploy as supposed would be recruits for the guerrilla movement. Once located begin mobilization but do not approach the wood with our troops for we have a great offer. Have our bombers deliver nerve gas bombs to the woods the rebels use as a hide away to bring pain and death to the enemy. Note that the spies we sent will not be alerted of this as a means to hide their presence. If they have anti-air guns then have the MIGs deployed as escort for the bombers launch napalm rockets at the locations of the gun fire. Once the gassing (and the likely forest fire from the napalm) have passed deploy a squadron of coreguard to covertly approach the rebel position; a division of troops leaded by vanguard will also be deployed to overtly approach as to provide a diversion. The coreguard are tasked to flank the rebel position; assault rovers will be deployed to aid in this operation for both overt and covert approachments so we can flank. While the overt division is supported by tank and APCs the coreguard will rely on pinpointed far rebel groups to our MIGs for a quick chemical rocket sweep... though this time not napalm. Even if the group survives the mission, codenamed Operation Duck Hunt, will show our enemies why they should not stand against our might.

At the same time a campaign of hearts and minds must be conducted in Wyoming to both make the rebels unpopular and to ensure the legitimacy of the Gethic occupation. Henceforth have a radio campaign to broadcast the virtues of our 'peaceful' society while condemning the guerrillas as criminals who have lit the forests as a stance against humanity (for the record have our surveillance services be set to keep people away from the targeted woods; the campaign should make it appear the guerrillas had accessed air-power but these planes were later shot down over a remote, unknown location as the 'official' story will go). The campaign will include a Hollywood film to be produced titled "The Village Front" which will depict a "historical" account of how a squad of Vanguard protected a village in Utah from raiders. This film may aid in our efforts to convince the locals of our glory and peacefulness. We will also set security to make newspaper stories of the supposed unfaithful nature of the guerrilla leadership and of a rumor of a little (white) girl being kidnapped by the Guerrillas and later found dead by vanguard searching to liberate her from her jailors. Be sure to have a photo of a vanguard taking off his mask and the sign of his tough face having mass tears softening it as we gazed in sorrow at the corpse (I will leave the corpse to the director of the piece...). Make her existence up (call her Anna Spring) and pay two low key actors to take up the role of the supposed parents. Play them up as a the honest God fearing type as a means to promote a feeling of duty in the public. In the end I want Vinsin Vancore to appear the liberator and the Guerrillas appear as villains.

Commence geological survey of Wyoming of minerals; focus on developing mines for uranium for our atomic projects but not neglect other minerals which may prove useful to our industrial efforts.

Have our networks in Texas continue, including with profiting from the arms sales with criminals.

Continue Moon Dagger's investigations into Timberwolf; avoid engagement of conflict with the figure.

Have a shipment of nerve gas and 15 assault rovers delivered to the Central Asaian Republic for request they are set by air if possible to our Yugoslav allies.

Deploy our spies in Egypt to begin a smuggling network; we our to smuggle arms like in Texas to local criminal groups as a means to divert Egyptian authorities, as well as smuggle 50 vanguard through Egypt to the Med were they will be smuggled on a boat to Yugoslavia to come under the services of the Yugoslavian government. These vanguard are to be set to aid in training and to serve as the heads of attacks when the time comes.

Commence our nuclear and fusion research with Germany, as well as Korea if possible.

Continue hover research with Anartica.

Vancore,

I'm sure you've heard by now that Magnum pretty much took Curtis Bell to town along with half of the Matadors. I'm getting the rest of the cretins here to make sure none of the seized weaponry gets traced back to you at the moment, but I think I have a way we can recover this.

Obviously it's going to take more then some PTS-ed marine with a machine gun to keep Magnum busy, so I have a better idea. A colleague of mine who was good with robotics conversed with me often on the subject of bonding flesh and steel into an amalgam compound with polymorphic capabilities, and with the right subject I could recreate such a process.

In layman's terms, I can make someone to deal with Magnum that's a little more durable.

If you're interested, I already found someone. An old flame of Mr Bell that's in ICU at Mercy Hospital because he decided to throw her under the bus, literally and figuratively. She's unstable enough to turn to crime, and if we're lucky the first thing she'll do is try to silence her ex for us, permanently.

Keep me updated, I have all the tools ready.

-Dr. Paul Williams

To our agent, Dr Anthrax

It is with sovereign permission you conduct this experiment. The subject will not only aid your efforts against Magnum but could prove a source to a cybernetic program for Science Division to research to develop for the purpose of military progress. Inform Alexia Plutus that she is to capture the subject with her networks; her group may pose as medical staff as they retrieve the subject. When you have access to the subject conduct the means of tomorrow so she can prove use to the Gethic efforts. Whether the subject succeeds or not you and Alexia Platus will be tasked with ensuring the subject will after success or failure be summoned to the Gethic Hand's lands for intense study by Science Division for a new weapons program; you are making history by ensuring a new breed of warrior to fight for order and peace comes active: the cyborg.

On the time being we must learn more of Magnun. Moon Dagger would be good for such task as he is skilled in stalking prey but he is at hunt of information over Timberwolf at the moment. For such purposes one of Moon Dagger's apprentice, Sir Blackhand, will be asked to do a investigation on Magnum to locate any weaknesses. We know he is a show blitz but we need to find his potential moment the fat lady sings. Sir Blackhand is a skilled marksman but also trained in the stealth practices of Moon Dagger; as such he will be set to work to find out information. Perhaps he will infiltrate a film studio that Magnum may have links to as a means to research this "hero."

As for Curtis Bells he has conducted his use; with Texas not expanding to where it should not we will have no further direct usage for Bells but the crime in Texas does demonstrate the chaos the country suffers. Find (or make if you must) more clients to supply to. Magnum must not be out of business and I want competitors for Curtis Bells less he grows lazy from a monopoly. That said it is vital Bells does not spill any information linking to the works of Dr Paul William

Will peace in Europe the orders sent on the 31st of October will have the following notions attached:

1) There will be presumed no need to kidnap the Eastern Emperor: cancel that operation.

2) Only donate 5 jet fighters to Yugoslavia as a taken of respect instead of the full load. Will no longer need to set military aid to our allies, though we will ship industrial and humanitarian aid to them, as well as humanitarian aid to Romans.

3) Be on alert with Mexican airspace. We will yet not presume there is a war (to allow claim of Somalia and to ensure the legitimacy of any conflict) and instead will focus on having garrissions on the alert. Jet fighters and other aircraft will patrol Gethic airspace bordering Mexican airspace, while destroyer patrols will be near the Mexican sea space as a means of scouting for any invasion fleets. Our first aim is hence to be on the ready in case of Mexican invasion, especially on usage of bombers for this "bomb." If its a tactical nuke be ready to fire down. We must be prepared in case we are stabbed.

4) Have our counter-intelligence units begin to overview our major cities and military facilities to keep a eye for possible covert deployement of this "bomb."

5) Transfer our covert networks in Texas to Mexico to both ensure peace with Texas and to begin to keep eye on Mexico. First set up a spy network to keep eye on Mexican governmental information, while secondary set some arms supplies still in our hands in Texas but not distributed to any cartels in northern Mexico.

6) No need to infiltrate Italy: have those agents be deployed in counter intelligence.

Overall continue our claim efforts and other elements of the 31st Oct orders.

The Gethic will claim three lands:

attachment.php

They will be set with standard military operates but Somalia will be a testing ground for Gethic hover tanks: we will fully test how effective our research packs with Anartica were.

Now we march to our other orders.

Direct the air bound delivery of medical, industrial and military supplies to the Yugoslavians; this will begin will long hauled flights but with Somalia under Gethic dominion we will use Somalian air fields as a way point for secure supplying to Yugoslavia. In light of possible tracking by Roman air forces have the cargo planes escorted by fighters but also have the cargo planes delivering civilian aid be set to be tracked, while military supplies are set to avoid attraction. Military aid will take form of infantry weapons to artillery pieces to even a few assault rovers and light tanks.

Donate 15 jet fighters and 15 jet interceptors to the Yugoslavian government: these will be used to counter bombers. Also supply 5 nerve gas delivering bombers to the Yugoslavians for their own usage.

Remember the cover mission to kidnap the Emperor of East Rome while he visits Germany: the orders were set in an earlier PM.

Continue the counter insurgency against the San Janinto terrorists. Redeploy Moon Dagger from his investigation mission in Texas to conduct a investigation and assassination mission of possible San Janinto leaders; we must locate the heads of this beast, even if it is a hydra, and decapitate. Moon Dagger should hopefully hunt them well by infiltrating their ranks. Meanwhile have our Vanguard and Coreguard deployed in Wyoming to be the focal military instruments in this operation; less about large armies here but more strategic and tactical strikes against the key points of the Janinto movement. We will tone down hence our fire bombings but will however consider the deployment of drone strikes with nerve gas missiles attached as target practice. Avoid deploying them at settlements. Focus on tactical termination of the San Janinto criminals.

Continue our propaganda campaign, with a special investigation report highlighting a cover story that the Lander Crash was a San Janinto plot to murder civilians; have our intelligence services seek out a defector from San Janinto to give a interview live on Truth News to "confess the San Janinto plots." We must take out of the heads that the crash was linked to the Gethic war effort against San Janinto and a accident of war but rather we paint our enemy downwards. Big lies work better than small ones.

Continue the Alpha Economic Plan, will special attention to improving mining and infrastructure in Wyoming as part of our heart and mind effort.

Have our scientists develop a new type of interceptor aircraft, code named "Bird of Prey" which will serve as a special air-to-air missile 'boat' style fighter; these we may call Hawk Guards.

Finally have our agents infiltrate Italian military networks in attempt to get details of Italian air force strategic bombing plans; grand the details of any plans stolen by us to the Yugoslavians for their defense effort.

Begin New Agency: The OSI (-1 EP)

The OSI will be responsible for the external intelligence operations of the Russian state. Regime change, spying, stealing tech, whatever you name, the OSI will try to do.

Our initial starting point will be in “White Russia” (A truly ironic name). The Communist Party that rules there has a fair, but not iron hold on the country. White Russia has always had ties to Russia. Most people can speak Russian, have family members in Russia, are members of the Russian Church, and other cultural ties to Russia throughout their history. Russia is even in their country name!

And now, they ally with Sweden? It is quite clear to any that they are looking to fight a war with Russia one day. Or at least, we need them to fear that. Look what happened when Ukraine signed a deal with Russia over EU (And then vice versa). We want massive protests, and potentially even armed insurgency. Use the ep to make contacts and help fund a potential insurgency. More ep can be added if needed. We can even covertly send Russian “volunteers” to aid in the struggle if it happens.

Our soldiers are to disembark for Hokkaido and Honshu, for all land north of Niigata. 20 Infantry brigades, 3 Cavalry, and 5 Artillery will be sent to Japan. Our troops should secure Hokkaido without issue, and for northern Honshu, we will tell the locals, especially the samurai, that we are there to protect Japan from further invasion from the Western powers. We will also seize the Japanese islands off the coast of Hokkaido in the north. We will not go south of Niigata. I would like to request a mini update in a PM form when my soldiers are in control of northern Honshu so that I might plan my next move. Include Dutch positions and holdings so I know if I should begin my counterattack or stay put.

Japan
The era of the Japanese Empire is over. The new “Mikidate” or whatever the Dutch wish to call it will rule in the south, while we will take Wardenship over the North. We have no interest in finding an imperial heir like the Dutch do. Instead, we will call what Daimyo are in our region to a Council at Niigata. We will promise all who attend will retain their lands and incomes, as well as provide for the right of safe passage. At Niigata, we will proclaim the Northern Alliance of Tōhoku. The Korean Prince will be declared the “Warden of the Alliance”, though to cement his ties to Tōhoku, the Daimyo will submit for him a bride for him to take. The conditions for joining the alliance is to acknowledge the leadership of Korea in the alliance, allowed to dictate political, military, and economic policies for the alliance members. We will prepare Tōhoku for the end of direct Korean occupation next year.
The North, due to is sparse population (Around 2.5 million or less at this time) will not care too much for the loss of their “Emperor” , but in the South it should be a major prestige blow as they accept a “Mikidate” over a rump state. They may end up creating a guerrilla warfare campaign, which could be very interesting.
Luckily the small population in Tōhoku gives us a unique opportunity. We will begin establishing facilities primarily in Niigata, and start “encouraging” Japanese to come work in Korean factories in Korea. With few economic opportunities in Japan itself, the Japanese will jump at the opportunity for (relatively) high paying work in Korea.

China:

In China, we will send one of Sanggye’s daughters, Consort Deokhye to the Emperor. We hope this consort will please him, as she is not only beautiful, but can play music that is sweet to hear. Not too long after her marriage to the Emperor, a new Korean ambassador will come to court. He will make demands of the Emperor, but the consort will be able to talk the ambassador down. This way, Deokhye will be able to work her way as a close confidant and advisor to the Emperor.

We will also name some Han Chinese as lower level managers of teams of Chinese to get the loyalty of the Han but to incense the Manchus in the Forbidden City.

Continue to build up Manchuria, with emphasis now being placed on rail lines and telegraph lines.

Hokkaido

We will annex Hokkaido into Korea, considering its population is <500,000 and begin settling it with Koreans

Vietnam

The French have paid for 5 Korean Infantry Brigades to take part in the Vietnam Conflict. We will send Prince Yi Gua to command the troops under the French generals, and will follow the French campaign objectives. We will land our troops wherever the primary French base is in the south.

A Tale of Common Things Turn One, Qing Empire's Attempt to not fight the Opium War. Essentially I agreed with the East India Company to buy a set amount of Opium per turn and they would only sell directly to government agents, who sold to the people. In an effort to avoid the problems the Qing had with the British, I negotiated a deal where the Qing would only pay 50% of the contract value in silver, the other half in levied goods.

Spending Outlines:

-Purchase Opium as indicated in the Treaty of Amicability and Friendship
-Establish a new Government Agency: The Bureau for the Preservation of Honor, Culture, Peace, and Order
-Construct the First of the new Laogai Work Camps in Manchuria, Laogai Community #1

-------------

With the Treaty of Amicability and Friendship, we officially accept the East India Company and the United Kingdom as a friendly, tribute based state. Their goods from their distant and unknown land have purpose in China, but most importantly, they have accepted the wisdom and law of their father the Emperor. Only good things happen to children who follow the rules of their father.

The East India Company will establish a base of operations to unload their goods at Hong Kong. From there, ships will carry the Opium to sell in Korea and in Southern China. State approved Merchants will pay for a license to sell the opium at least 20% marked up, with all 20% going back to the Qing treasury. If the merchants charge more to make profit on their investment, that is their discretion. However there will be a limit on how much one person may purchase opium from the merchants, and that they will be recorded to ensure they do not purchase more opium than their allotted quota. If they do, the BPHCPO will be paying them a visit.

--------------

The Bureau for the Preservation of Honor, Culture, Peace, and Order is a new government ministry with the goal of preserving Honor, Culture, Peace and Order in Qing society. Right now, they will be taking on the form of Agents, spies, and such like that. We will secretly recruit members in pre existing structures such as the police and merchants in an effort to coopt pre existing structures into this organization dedicated to preserving Honor, Culture, Peace, and Order.

Right now the BPHCPO’s main objective is to track purchasers of Opium. Namely, to ensure that they do not surpass the quota of their allowed amount. If they illicitly purchase more opium than allowed, they will be arrested and sent to prison. These new prisoners will form the backbone of Laogai Community #1.

At Laogai Community #1, Prisoners will be forced to labor to turn the community into productive farmland. If any prisoner attempts to escape, we will bring his entire family to the Community as prisoners. Hopefully this works as a deterrent method.

Maintain Order, Maintain Honor, Maintain the Empire

A Tale of Common Things Orders Turn #2. Purchasing a ton of opium put a major strain on the Qing budget, but luckily I had some ways for recourse. Unfortunately the nes ended before it could be enacted.

Labor Cost: £1.49

Spending:

Our main spending is mostly maintaining the current status quo . The Bureau, Our Opium Deal. Expansion of new Laogai camps, ect. ect.

The Opium Deal:

With the new war between Siam and Vietnam, we have essentially been given a free hand in selling our opium without restriction! We will loan both parties silver for their war, but in exchange our merchants will start selling opium in both countries without restriction. We hope to divert a majority of our shipments down south to Viet Nam and Siam and sell to their people directly. Meanwhile, our officials will begin working out a deal with Korea. Korea will now buy a set amount of opium from the Qing in exchange for paying purely in bullion. Our officials will work out the exact amount of opium that the Koreans will buy. With this, we hope to ideally reduce the amount of opium that we are forced to sell to our own citizens.

The Bureau will continue hunting down enemies of the Qing, be they opium dealers or dissenters. Start offering new positions as Laogai camp administrators to people in my bureaucracy

The Jacksonia-Florida (OTL Texas) War over the Colorado River. This war was particularly unfortunate. It resembled WW I in the fact that the Floridans literally only had one avenue for attack, but they also had heavy air superiority and were able to bomb my towns. War ended up mostly as a stalemate, though their casualties were significantly higher. (EQ's Capto Igulum)

Spending 237 ep total

-40 ep for 40 conscript brigades (197 ep remaining)
-30 for 6 Artillery Brigades (167)
-7 for Anti Air Craft Guns for my forces and cities

Strategy:

Ok so for as long as we can, we're going to focus on keeping the Floridans in their current positions. We will NOT counter attack, all we want to do is grind them out. Considering our massive 4:1 Artillery Advantage, our higher ground, our entrenched positions, we should be more than able to do so.

If, for some reason we are forced back, we will reposition ourselves on the light blue line shown here in Figure A to what we will call "The Mammoth Line"

P3sAPQ1.png

Figure A

Generally, we will have an advantage here due to three primary reasons.

1. Our massive high ground advantage-As you might see here on the map, or even through the internet of your own browsing, you will see we have the Floridans in a valley while we rain death from above.
2. The Salton Sea-This will essentially cause a wedge for the Floridans if they attack on a broad front
3. The Desert-SoCal in the summer? While your supply lines are that stretched? Lets just point out their distribution centers are in Texas, and they have to get to SOCAL. IN SPRING AND SUMMER. GOOD, EFFING, LUCK.

While they're attacking us, we will be using hit and run tactics to cut off their supply lines, using explosives to cut anything they try. I'd like to point out that if they try using tanks here, they will more or less overheat during operation.

While we will use flak to the best of our abilities, due to Florida’s probable air supremacy, this defensive line is not a longterm solution. This is simply to try to gauge where the Floridans are heading while killing them as much as we can. We will still be fighting hard, but use tactical retreats as needed. We want the highest kill-death ratio that we can achieve.

IF They are heading to St. Martin (San Diego), then we fight them hard and heavy through the valley, then fight them block by block in Saint Martin, if they go to Boulder, good luck getting therough the mountain passes. Generally keep calm, orderly retreat, set up decoys, ambushes, we’re fighting a purely defensive war.Try to keep the defense mobile after they break our blue line if they’re not in the city. Set up death traps, and if the fighting wouldn’t be to our advantage, leave the area and fight another day.

We recommend the evacuation of people in Southern Jacksonia if they are not prepared to fight

Propaganda campaign - I'm not entirely sure if this would fall underneath an intel mission I would need an agent for. If so, just put this money into my infrastructure spending.

But if I can do this, I want a massive propaganda campaign launched against Bulgaria, Romania, and my own people, promoting Pan-Slavism, the glory of the Slavic people throughout history, and why they need to come together as one. It should paint the Slavic Union as the champion of the Slavic people's destiny, and the Slav's only hope for significance, safety, and prosperity in today's dangerous world.

Education Reform - The children of the Slavic Union need to be given a modern and uplifting education, balanced around history, mathematics, and the sciences. This reform will revolve mainly around building schools, and providing the ones that are already around with the resources and manpower they need to effectively teach. It will also help fund students seeking to further education past the mandatory initial 12 years.
The first 12 years should focus on a balanced education, up until the last two where it can begin specializing as students grow up and begin to know what they want to do with their lives, and thus the initial phase of education will be mostly about giving students the skills and knowledge they need to survive in the world, along with a taste of higher learning. Especially instilled in young Slavic students is a sense of national pride, which will be a core focus of every lesson where it can be applied, and near the end of the 12 year mandatory education period there should be material concerning the military and its benefits and opportunities readily available to students not seeking to further their education; this will be to drum up potential manpower reserves to bring into the active duty military.

In terms of higher education, it shall be largely, if not entirely paid for, by the central and local governments when concerning education in scientific, engineering, or other similar fields to help cultivate the next generation of scientists, engineers, and inventors. The next several years of higher education should also have an emphasis on Slavic patriotism and nationalism, but less so than in the mandatory education period; it is more important for them to be properly educated past the mandatory education period than brainwashed. The education reform bill will use its money to provide for all of the above.

Spoiler Operation River Flood :
Spoiler Set-up :
Setting up:
The Northern Offensive: Operation Flood
Spoiler :
The English force composed of 30 divisions will land in Antwerp, protected by the whole Belgian fleet and 10 flotillas of the Royal Navy.

15 British divisions in three Army Corps will form the Atlantic Army Group, with the goal of occupying the French ports in Normandy and Pas-de Calais.

5 British divisions, along with 8 German divisions, will form three Combined Army Corps which jointly are to be named the Central Army Group. This Central Army Group has as its main goal the conquest of Paris. Due to the invasion being through the most strongly fortified French frontier post and being the smallest Army Group, it is equipped with half of the total armoured vehicles in the Northern Offensive group.

The whole of the Belgian Army, along with 10 British divisions will form the Ardennes Army Group, with 4 Army Corps. Due to having to cross the Ardennes, it has the least armoured forces of the three armies at the Northern Offensive.

The Southern Offensive: Operation River
Spoiler :
The Iberian Army will focus its forces at both ends of the Pyrenees, where crossing is possible and most likely, with the two Mountain Divisions heavily fortified and entrenched in their positions in Jaca, in the Aragonese Pyrenees, to resist any possible invasion until help can reach the lines.

In the West, in San Sebastián, 4 regular infantry divisions will be ready to cross the border, equipped with 5 modified Schneider CA1 carrying artillery. Additionally, there will be a Marine Infantry division and an armoured division equipped with 40 Renault FT-17 light tanks and 10 Schneider CA1 heavy tanks, on top of several armoured cars and regular trucks carrying infantry.

5 regular infantry divisions will be in La Jonquera, ready to cross the border, equipped with all available mobile artillery that are the clumsy modified Schneider CA1. A Marine Infantry division and 2 Armoured Divisions will be waiting in the port of Roses, training for a record-winning fast landing.

Spoiler Phase One :

Phase One: Deluge

Northern Offensive:
Spoiler :

Spoiler Initial movements :
The Ardennes Army will invade France through the Ardennes, in the French-Belgian border. The first and westernmost military objective of the army is the town of Sedan, in the British sector. One British division should fall back to secure the town of Charleville-Mézièrs. The Easternmost immediate objective of the offensive is the village of Longwy, near the Luxemburgish border. In the initial advance the towns of Bogny-sur-Meuse, Vivier-au-Court, Carignan, Montmédy and Longuyon must be taken.

Once these positions have been reached, the Atlantic Army will cross the border between the port of Dunkerque and the town of Steenvoorde, these included. If possible, the coastal advance of the Army will receive support from naval elements.

Once all of these positions have been reached by both armies, the Central Army will launch its push through the towns of Lille and Valenciennes. The Armoured forces will push through the second, due to it being a weaker position as it is not such a populated area as the surroundings of Lille. Bailleul, Armentières, Roubaix, Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, Vieux-Condé, Maubeuge and Jeumont are objectives secondary to Lille and Valenciennes. The 2nd Combined Corps, with most armoured divisions, is expected to reach and secure the populations of Denain and Cambrai as well.

Spoiler Advance :
After these initial movements, the Ardennes Army will advance further to reach the city of Metz. Along the way it should secure the positions of Stenay, Verdun, Thionville, Hayange, Rombas, Jarny and Ars-sur-Moselle.

The Atlantic Army will push and fight its way to Calais, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Étaples, Berck and Hesdin. The Atlantic Army will secure ports and supply routes along the occupied territory to improve the logistics of the offensive. The main supply line to secure is Calain/Dunkerque-Lens/Lille in order to distribute supplies to the Central Army elements. The Atlantic army will receive all of their supplies in the coastal positions reached.

The Central Army will advance to occupy the conurbation of Lens, with a dozen populations of great importance. Its advance should reach Arras, whereas the 2nd Combined Corps should reach the population of Saint Quentin to secure a supply line to the Ardennes Army, which will have little need for supplies due to a much lesser presence of vehicles in their ranks. The Central Army shall be in charge of organizing supply lines and plan new supply lines as it advances through enemy territory.

Spoiler Final movements :
The Ardennes Army shall use all trucks and vehicles it can find in secured populations to thrust itself towards the outflanking of the Maginot line thanks to the occupation of Sarreguemines, Brumath, Strasbourg, Colmar and Mülhausen. The 4th British Corps will open the march, and the 6th British Corps will stay behind to secure the town of Metz and the supply lines, as well as to fight any enemy elements that may have passed unseen in the proximity of the city. The Belgian Army will be tasked with surrendering most of the borderline fortifications of the Maginot Line, whereas the British forces will lead the attack on the most important positions and clean the path.
The Atlantic Army will turn south to occupy Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and Abbeville. Then, the 1st and 2nd Corps will turn west to advance against Normandy while the 3rd Corps occupies Amiens. The 1st Corps, with the 1st Armoured Division, will be assigned Le Havre as primary objective, and Rouen will be assigned to the 2nd Corps. If possible, the Army will push to Caen.
In Saint-Quentin, the Combined Corps of the Central Army will split. Its Armoured and Mobile Infantry divisions will target Paris, while the rest of the corps will secure Reims to open a supply line to the Ardennes Army in case it is unable of breaking the Maginot line and thus it cannot receive supplies from Germany. These forces will march to occupy Troyes to avoid any possible flanking of the Ardennes Army. The rest of the Central Army will follow the Armoured and Mobile Infantry Divisions towards Paris.
Upon completion of the first phase, the regions of Haute Normandie, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Picardie, Champagne-Ardennes, Lorraine, Alsace, Franche Comté, Île-de-France and a portion of Basse-Normandie will be under control of the Allied Forces.

Southern Offensive:
Spoiler :
The Marine Infantry division in San Sebastián will disembark in Bayonne and secure the city to flank the French border forces. An Armoured Division in San Sebastián will land in the secured beachhead and march to Bordeaux the next day. The Marine Infantry Division will disembark some artillery and equipment and will put a siege to French border positions. If French resistance can’t be broken, more Infantry will disembark via San Sebastián-Bayonne to put pressure. The Mountain divisions in Jaca will be ordered to advance and occupy Pau and Tarbes to cut supplies coming from Toulouse for the French positions.

The same will take place in the Mediterranean. The Marine Infantry division will take Perpignan and allow for the safe landing of an Armoured division to march against Avignon, the primary target of the first phase. By taking the coast, the enemy won’t be able to receive supplies from ports or their allies, since the main connection with Italy is the coastal road of Nice-Toulon-Marseille. Another Armoured Division will disembark to march against Toulouse and Montauban, and the Marine Infantry division will have the modified Schneider CA1s to try to break enemy positions.

Whenever the enemy resistance is broken, all divisions shall pursue its primary targets: Bordeaux, Toulouse and Avignon. The occupation of Montpellier is imperative due to its condition of capital of the Region. Once the first phase is complete, the regions of Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrenées and Languedoc-Roussillon will be under Iberian occupation.

Spoiler Phase Two :
Phase Two: Drainage Flow

Northern Offensive:
Spoiler :
The Atlantic Army will advance towards new objectives. The 1st Corps, with the 7th and 4th Divisions from the 2nd Corps will finish the occupation of Basse-Normandie and go into Brittany to occupy Rennes, later advancing against Nantes. The 3rd Corps with the remainder of the 2nd Corps will march against Le Mans and Cholet to reach their final and most immediate military objectives.

The Ardennes Army will fall south from Alsace and Lorraine to Chalon-sur-Saône and Dijon, with 7 divisions and 4 divisions respectively. All remaining forces are to come down to Chalon-sur-Saône to push South if the Southern Offensive doesn’t reach its objectives.

The remainder of the Combined Corps in Troyes will finish the occupation of the west with the taking of Auxerre, the last important city in the route from Paris to Dijon. The rest of the Central Army will occupy the region Centre, with the Armoured Divisions headed for Órleans and Chateauroux, the Mobile Infantry Division (with the back-up of a Regular Infantry division) will target Bourges and the rest of the Central Army will occupy Blois and Tours.

Southern Offensive
Spoiler :
The Armoured Division at Bordeaux will rush to reach its final objective, Poitiers, and secure it. One unit from the division will advance to the border of the region to meet up with the Allied Central Army. Behind the Armoured division, one regular Infantry division will march to take Niort, while the Marine Infantry will assault the most important port of La Rochelle.

The forces gathered at Toulouse and Montauban will advance to Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand respectively. The Armoured Division in this group will go first to take the crossroads of Brive-la-Gailharde. Two infantry Divisions will accompany it to Clermont-Ferrand while the other three take Limoges. With these cities taken, units from one division will advance to the border to meet with the Central Army forces arriving there.

Of the four divisions in Avignon, the three regular Infantry divisions will be assigned the take of Lyon, to later break up and take one Bourg-en-Bresse and meet up with the British forces, and the other two to take Grenoble and secure the road to the Italian border. The Armoured division in Avignon will take Marseille and wait for the Marine Infantry stationed in Montpellier to march on the naval base of Toulon and finally the port of Marseille.

Spoiler Final comments and preventive measures :
In the end of this second phase, all of France will be under Allied control except for Brittany and the naval base of Brest, which will be taken by the forces of the Atlantic Army as soon as it is possible.

To prevent French naval intervention in the minor landings of the Southern offensive, the Iberian Navy will carry out a few diversions around Toulon with the Dedalus aircraft carrier to keep French vessels away from Roussillon, and the French Navy in the Atlantic will be too busy with the naval British bombardments to care about the landings in Bayonne.

10 EP on expanding the SW Africa colony
10 EP on claiming New Britain and New Ireland
20 EP on influencing the other German states
30 EP on domestic railroad construction
10 EP into the bank

Domestic
-SW Africa: Money invested here should be used to expand the colony's territorial size, using whatever means necessary. Focus more on expanding up the coast than on expanding into the deserted interior of the continent.
-The 30 EP will be used to subsidize the private construction of railroads within Prussia. The railroads will continue to be privately owned with the condition that the Prussian military is granted full access. If possible, special focus should be paid to connecting Silesia with the major industrial centers.

Foreign
-German states: Court pro-Prussian and anti-French interests within the states - especially Bavaria - to solidify our position. We wish to begin building a unified anti-French coalition. Start feeling out interests within their respective courts for the question of creating a more federalized state.
-Zanzibar: The goal here is to establish a Prussian protectorate over the Sultanate of Zanzibar (which is what I presume is that one nation in East Africa since it doesn't seem to belong to anyone else and doesn't have stats.) This year, send an evoy to the Sultan, carrying offers of an exclusive trade partnership, as well as protection. Start building a pro-Prussian court faction.

Military
The main operations of the military this turn will be with the intent of expanding the Prussian colonial empire.
-2 Frigates and 5 Gunboats, along with 2 infantry brigades, will be sent to Austronesia claim the islands of New Britain and New Ireland (which will be named Neupommern and Neumecklenburg, respectively) for Prussia. We will establish our local capital and powerbase at Rabaul.

Domestic
-No drastic shifts this turn. I want to get my bearings and see what everyone else is doing before making any moves; no actions will come until Sindh is finished. Keep everyone happy, and the country stable, and we’re good. For now.

Foreign

-Courting Princely States: Cautiously, start sending emissaries to the Rajputs and other nearby princely states to start wooing their leaders with gifts and vague promises; do this cautiously and as quietly as possible, in order to avoid gaining the attention and ire of the Company. If the princes themselves are not willing to listen to us, then begin courting anti-British figures locally who have some form of influence. The goal of this is to start gathering allies; if a Mutiny-type event happens and the EIC begins imploding, Punjab will strike. Devote $50K to this; if we see results we’ll follow up next year.
-Prevent any Anglo-Chinese opium from entering the country. Home-grown opium is fine (to a point), foreign opium is not. My trust level for them is not particularly high, and we’re not having that madness happen here.

Military

Deployments:
-Station 10K Infantry, 5K Cavalry, and 50 Artillery near/along the border with the EIC. Should the EIC invade, use existing fortifications and terrain to our advantage, and transfer other military units from the rest of the Empire to here. The EIC will all but certainly need to keep units stationed elsewhere in order to prevent rebellion
-Station 5K Infantry and 8 Artillery near/along the border with Afghanistan; specifically, defend the Khyber Pass primarily and any other passes through the Hindu Kish secondarily. We were historically at war with the Durranis around this time, so there’s the off chance they might try and invade us. Should this happen, dig in using existing fortifications; our superior army should be enough to defend against Afghans. We won’t take offensive action here - yet.
-5K Infantry will be devoted to the rest of the country, generally being used for whatever is necessary. Neither <insert Central Asian khanate> nor China has any real ability to threaten us due to terrain. In China’s case, attacking through East Turkestan is the definition of stupidity. If either tries to do so then simply reallocate troops from elsewhere to deal with it.

Invasion of Sindh: This is the good part. Why are we invading Sindh? Because, for one, we want an outlet to the sea, and it just so happens there’s one right to the south of us – Karachi, although it’s not yet a bustling megacity. (Yet being the key word.) Also, Sindh will be a test of our new and improved army, which we’ve spent the past few years remodeling on European lines.
We’ll deploy 10K Infantry, 8K Cavalry, and 70 Artillery to this front. Of that, 8K Infantry, 6K Cavalry, and 70 Artillery, under the command of Veer Singh Dillon, will travel down the Indus River, in order to stay in fertile ground with an easy mode of transport and avoid the more arid and less friendly areas. I believe the town of Kharipur, in the north, is the capital of Sindh at this time; priority should be to capture it as quickly as possible. From there, move on to Hyderabad, and then to the coast, where we’ll head west and secure Karachi. The other 2K Infantry, 2K Cavalry, led by Hari Singh Nalwa, will follow Veer Singh in a mop-up role and bolster the former’s numbers if necessary. Killing the Emir of Sindh should also be a priority, as this will end up breaking their leadership.
If you want general tactics, use cavalry charges to deal with massed irregulars, and use artillery against fortifications and generally to have a psychological impact. My generals are good; give them discretion in commanding the army according to the situation. The Sindhis like attacking at night; our troops should make note of this. Also remember to keep the guns under covers if it rains; this was the Bengali’s undoing at Plassey and we’re not having that repeat here. In any case, not only do we outnumber the Sindhis, we have a better quality army and better leadership, so our generals shouldn't have too difficult of a time.
The money will be used for funding the campaign, and giving supplies, etc. Sindh has a fair number of Hindus and other religious minorities who are chafing under Muslim rule. Promise some of them administrative positions after the war in order to get them on our side and weaken them. The Hindus historically helped the British when they invaded; we’re, if anything, a lot more tolerant of Hindus than the British, so take that as you will. The money should also be used for paying local tribesmen and getting them on our side; the British did this as well. Finally, it should be used for setting up a new administration over the territory if we do conquer it, from the groups listed above, as well as others who are loyal to us.

Here is a map of present day Sindh for your reference; Kharipur is east of Larkana.

392px-Sindh_Divisions.png

If the EIC launches its own invasion of Sindh first, then don’t invade; we don't want to earn their ire.

Incorporating Sind: The successful invasion of Sind has put us in an excellent position. Primarily, it gives us an outlet to the sea, and by extension a platform from which to tap into the relatively lucrative trade of the Indian Ocean. More on this later. In addition, it also gives us additional leverage which we can use against the other nations in the region. So, naturally, we’ll be directly incorporating the territory into our country.

We already gave the Hindus of the country some administrative powers; we’ll work on forming a new bureaucracy from these guys. However, it is important to remember that this is still a majority Islamic area, and that we are a secular nation. We will treat both groups equally and fairly, without discrimination, and despite the “Sikh” in our nation name we’re not forcing Sikhism on anybody. I do not believe that the money we’re providing is enough to complete this process this year, so this will more likely than not take several years. The military should assume responsibility if necessary, and again act fairly, justly, and without being oppressive.

Military

Our invasion of Sind, although it came at perhaps a greater cost than ideal, gave evidence of our relative military superiority over our neighbors. However, we’re approaching the limit to our expansion.

Deployments:
-5K infantry, 1K cavalry, 13 Artillery will be stationed in the north, along the borders with Afghanistan, <central Asian khanate>, and China. Again, use terrain and existing fortifications to our advantage.
-10K Infantry, 2K Cavalry will be stationed in Sind. They’ll defend it in the unlikely event that Kalat attacks.
-25K Infantry, 10K Cavalry, 135 Artillery will defend the border with the East India Company.
Should the EIC invade, use terrain and the rivers in the area to our advantage. Also, we have artillery. Leave local strategy and tactics to the generals, but on the grand strategic level attempt to force the British into a decisive engagement, where with a force superior in quality and (most likely) numbers, as well as the presence of artillery, we can decapitate their advance. Relocate forces from elsewhere if reinforcements are needed.

The Punjab Navy: Yep, we’re establishing one. 5 Frigates should be a nice starter force, without going ridiculously overboard. It’s not likely to challenge Oman for naval dominance any time soon, but for demonstrative purposes it will do. Use them to patrol the coast, drive off pirates, and make Karachi a more appealing option as a port. It won’t do much, but it’s a start. Try to gather anyone loyal who has any naval knowledge to crew them, and establish a rudimentary naval officer corps. Our army was largely trained by European expats who had served under Napoleon. Trying a similar approach might prove fruitful here.

Foreign

East India Company: qoou has stated that the EIC will be sending an envoy to the Punjab. Make sure that we make a great first impression on our British guests, with lavish decorations for the meeting room, and lavish food and drink. Give them a tour of Lahore and other locales should they wish it.
Now there are other possibilities; that this expedition is a ruse, to precipitate a full-scale invasion. They’ll have to get through our military first. It could also be an effort to assassinate our Maharaja. Post guards to preemptively prevent this from happening. The EIC’s focus right now seems to be in the East Indies and in China more than in our corner of the world, so either of these things seems unlikely.

Princely States: Continue quietly sending emissaries and courting the leaders of various Rajput (or otherwise) princes in the vicinity of our border. Generally , but stay under Company radar. Our goal is to improve our relations with both the princely states and the Company. It’s a fine line, no doubt, but I think we’re capable of walking it.

Expenses:

30 to spend.

16 on bribes.

5 on improving forts along the Galatian and Avarian border.

9 on hiring mercenaries.

War plans:

The War of Anatolian Revenge

There is nothing more despicable than those who break the right of guests to travel unharmed, and the Pontic savages have done that and more. For this reason alone they stand to be punished.

However, there is a, as they say, rub. Galatia not only had the insolence to ally themselves with them, but they are holed up in the mountains. The much more important war is to come, and thus our strength cannot be spent on meaningless pursuits such as the Galatians. Thus, the plan is thus: our army will ignore the Galatians entirely, save 6 divisions left to guard the border in the forts in the mountains near Galatia. Instead, they will thrust into Pontus and make straight for the coast, and travel along it to the capital.

They will burn all they see, for this is their heartland and a military presence there will crush their trade and economy. Moreover, our cavalry superiority and three siege trains (we shall leave two behind) will let us a) avoid the enemy if we need to and b) not get bogged down sieging cities. We have a massive numerical advantage, so as soon as we see the enemy we are to crush them in battle lest they have a chance to meet with the Galatians. If we find they have met with their ally’s forces, then the 6 divisions left on the border will surge across into Galatia and pressure the Galatians.

A couple contingencies:

We crush the lone Pontics. In this case, we send 4 divisions to reinforce the Galatian border forts and march to the capital. The war should proceed smoothly from there into a two pronged attack on the Galatians, with the other two siege trains moving to support the southern forces.

The Galatians meet the Pontics and try to attack. We keep out of range until we find a defensible position and wait for engagement. If they sent their entire force, then we are numerically equal (actually down one but whatever) and roving about their country, breaking morale. If they don’t send their whole force then we are numerically superior.

The Galatians make it past the fortified border. If this somehow occurs even after improvements, then we abandon the war and make peace. We don’t want to come out of this worse for the wear, and I doubt the Anatolians want to start a long bloody war with their better.

If we have not won over at least one kingdom within five years, make peace and recoup losses.

The Great Albanian War

Send 8 EP to the Afghan and Persepolisian satrapies to arm troops and thus rebel.

The combined weight of Scythia, an unhelpful Persepolis and open rebellion from their main money maker should weaken Albania considerably. Thus, on year 7, we march into the western part of their empire (leaving Persepolis alone) and conquer the lands. Most of the army will be split between the east and the north, and I would not be surprised if we could make it to the capital without a battle. However, it is important to engage any army that stands in our way so that we can cow Albania into submission. I imagine our generals can take it fromt here, but the gist is to capture the capital and emperor. Make sure to send all loot captured north to Scythia.

If we lose, retreat to the border and dig in. The combined weight of two rebellions, incessant raids from the best cavalry in the world and the loss of their eastern lands should prevent them from mounting an attack, but if they do I can trust our spearmen to hold. Once they collapse we pick up the pieces.

If we win, we will grant Afghanistan independence but immediately march on Persepolis, preferably with some manufactured slight to back us up. They are isolated from the rest of the kingdom, weakened from warfare and massively outnumbered. It should not be a fair fight.

If we lose, burn what we can and leave, hopefully with a significantly weakened Albania behind us.

War Orders

The war against Egypt and Co. is a long one, no doubt.

The first move is to hire 45 mercenary companies. Yes, 45. The deployments are thus: 25 along the Ghassanid border, 17 along the Arabian border. The remaining 3 plus the six we already have will be stationed along the Galatian border in the forts there (note that this is along the original border, as Pontus is not as important).

For normal forces, we will station 10 infantry and 6 cavalry near the coast, for rapid deployment. The remaining 2 infantry will join the Galatian defense force. Three siege trains will join the Ghassanid attack force.

Troop movements will be thus:

The forces attacking the Ghassanids will march to Jerusalem and lay siege to it. If the Ghassanids attack we will not engage but instead retreat to the mountain passes and make our stand there. The terrain is almost ridiculously favorable. If they retreat then we ravage the land near their capital. If they attack we butcher them with higher numbers and better terrain. If they refuse to engage there we bite the bullet and attack head on.

5 of our ships and 10 of Mazun’s will escort one of our siege trains to Axum to be used in their campaign, and we will pressure Mazun into building a siege train and sending it along with ours.

Axum will hire 25 mercenaries. They will engage Alodia with 40 units (30 infantry/mercenaries and 10 cavalry and their 1 or 2 siege trains). They will make straight for the Alodian army and kill them in the field and then siege the capital. 10 mercenaries and 5 cavalry will attack Arabia from the south, moving along the Red sea so that naval forces can provide support. Once the Alodian capital is captured, 3/4 of Axum’s army (25 foot, 10 cavalry, their siege trains) attacking Alodia will march up the Nile and capture cities, making for Alexandria as an attack force while the remainder subdues the rest of Alodia.

My 25 mercenaries will engage Arabia along the border. As soon as the situation develops either way, the reserve force on the coast will march to attack the Arabian khan via the Red Sea. The mercenaries, if not tied down, will join them. This is an out-and-out attack and Arabia’s cavalry should be useless as well as caught unprepared by the naval attack.

Mazun will engage Arabia, striking for the major cities. At this point Arabia will have something like 65 units attacking them, plus whatever Yibram sends if they join.

At first Alodia will have 40 attacking them to exterminate their army. Arabia too loses this advantage unless in some miracle, but even so the sheer numbers are insane. After the first year or so the Ghassanids will have 55 or so units attacking them. Galatia has only 12 v 20, but terrain and forts combined should be enough to hold out. None of this includes Yibram, because as of writing their stance is unknown, and they will write their own war orders.

A blockade will be instituted along the Red sea by all of Axum’s ships and all of Mazun’s, while mine will blockade the Egyptian coast.

So, from then on it is just a slug fest. I’ll leave it up to my generals, but naval superiority, numerical superiority and hopefully strategic superiority all spell doom for the enemy.

2 on a fort at the IRL site of Kuwait or nearby to block the way up.
5 sent to Kushan to convince them to go to war with Uar.
35 on maintenance
Remainder (should be 27 or so, could be as low as 1 depending on gifts and loans going through) on raising mercenaries.
Take a loan of 10 from Oman, with 13 paid back in two turns.

War orders:

We may have 73, we may have 45. These orders assume 65. All excess men should be stationed in the Egyptian front until the amount of men there exceeds 40, then any more to the Persian gulf front, all lack of men taken from the Egyptian one. If the Egyptian front drops below 30 units total, then they should just defend in Sinai instead, with 8 units going to Persian Gulf front.

Our navy is to seek out the Ghassanid navy and destroy them. We have 4x the numbers. If they are in port, blockade the port.

Send 35 mercenary companies, 5 cavalries and 3 siege trains via the sea into Egypt to finish them off. We outnumber them, we have more experience, and the desert shouldn’t be a problem due to the ships. Focus on taking Alexandria. Do this immediately as we have dealt with the Ghassanid navy. Once Alexandria is taken, mop up and then finish the army of the Ghassanids, and then leave a garrison of 20 mercenaries while the rest sail back. Have the forces split between 8 mercenaries aiding the Yibramese Red Sea front and the remainder helping out on the Persian gulf front.

On Persian gulf front, garrison our men at IRL Kuwait, using the forts as they are built as defense. This should be the remaining men. This is risky, as they will probably be outnumbered but honestly the lack of an offensive and overwhelming attacks on other fronts should make any planned offensive up the Persian coast an aborted one as they flee to help their fellows. The navy should be supporting the amphibious transport and siege on Jerusalem once the Ghassanid navy is dealt with, and then harassing Arabian shipping.

If, after the Ghassanids are dealt with and the forces in Persia are augmented with those troops, and there is still no sign of Arabian forces, our forces should march down the coast to Mazun and free them as per our promise. I doubt the native people will resist much, seeing as they were subjugated by force.

Notes: If the Romans notice the fleet and try to prepare defenses, let rumors spread that the fleet is carrying an army which is set to outflank Roman forces in Thrace, so as to divert Roman attention in Thrace instead of Minor Asia.

Operation Plato

THE MOST IMPORTANT MISSION OF THE ENTIRE PLAN

Numbers:

All available surface Anti-ship missiles. There should be a lot, since such missiles have been made since WWII, so it is not like they are rare or undeveloped.

Tactics:

All available surface Anti-ship missiles shall be send in the coast of Eastern Bulgaria and fire at incoming Roman ships that try to supply Constantinople.

Since no ships will get past of the missiles and the Romans will have no way to supply the city, the city shall be strangled to death by famine.

Operation Thermopylae

The defensive operation in Eastern Thrace.

Numbers:
1/4 of the Yugoslav Army.
1/2 of the Yugoslav Air Force.

Tactics:

The Yugoslav Army in East Thrace is to cease all offensive operations and shall dig trenches and other defensive lines in order to defend against the Romans. The Yugoslav Air Force in Thrace should battle with the Roman Air Force to gain dominance in the air.

1. Yugoslav planes shall also be crushed upon Roman military installations with suicide missions. If no volunteers are found, blackmail pilots using the safety of their families.

2. If large scale munitions begin, also blackmail the soldiers with the safety of their families.

3. Recruit from all hospitals in Yugoslavia people with illnesses that can be infected, like cholera, or if not enough are found, infect them with such diseases on purpose. Then, throw those infected bodies (using the Air Force) inside Constantinople in order to spread diseases inside the city.

Operation Black Devil

The creation of a defensive line in Thrace.

Numbers:
1/4 of the Yugoslav Army.
1,500,000 Gulag slaves.

Tactics:

1,5 million Gulag slaves shall work to death 15 hours every day to build a defensive line:

Spoiler :
KiKdtfS.png

- Black Line

The line will be made up of huge earthwork, minefields, trenches, fortifications and barracks, turrets and underground tunnels storing medical supplies and weapons, basically a carbon copy of the line that stopped Italy. Once the line is completed, 1/4 of the Yugoslav army shall fortify in it. Any Roman counteroffensives are destined to fail.

Do not care about casualties. Even if 1,400,000 workers die, fine by me.

Operation Unbreakable Line

Last turn, 900,000 gulag prisoners died building an extensive defensive line. Now, it is time to make use of that line.

Numbers:
1/4 of the Yugoslav Army.

Tactics:

Basically, the Yugoslav army should defend against any Italian advances using this line:

Spoiler :
cnpRPcp.png

(Yes, I am using last turn's map showing the line :D)

The line is made up of huge earthwork, minefields, trenches, fortifications and barracks, turrets and underground tunnels storing medical supplies and weapons, so defense should be relative easy.

Also, the Yugoslav army shall recruit local young women, mainly from Hungary, to act as comfort women for the soldiers. This should please the soldiers and allow them to continue fighting.

Operation Flaming Bosnia

Bomb the hell out of the Jihadists.

Numbers:
1/2 of the Yugoslav Air Force.

Tactics:

1/2 of the Yugoslav Air Force shall carry air strikes in Bosnia. Target hospitals, economic and military HQ, Power Stations, Bosnian military units and Mosques.

Operation Nuclear Bomb

Hastening the construction of the nuclear facilities.

Numbers:
1,000,000 Gulag slaves.

Tactics:

Work to death 19 hours every day so as to complete as fast as possible the facilities. Do not care even if the death toll is 100%.

Operation Odysseus

Operation Odysseus is the nickname for a naval operation whose goal is to prevent an Italian landing on Yugoslav soil.

Numbers:
2/3 of the Yugoslav Navy

Tactics:

2/3 of the Yugoslav navy shall guard the following area:

Spoiler :
GBq9drW.png

(Same as last turn. :D)

If they try an amphibious operation, the Yugoslav Navy shall be ready for them and shall crush them.

Also, in case the Navy fails to prevent an Italian landing, the crewmen of the navy shall land back to Yugoslavia, put on fire the ports and, equipped with land weapons, shall try to resist until reinforcements arrive from the North.

Notes: The Yugoslav Navy should also look out for the Maghreb Navy, since I have information that they might join the Italians.

Description: The current dynasty ruling China, or at least the southern half of it, the Sung dynasty in Jianking is on the rise, having been established by a peasant revolt during a warring states period less than a century ago, and since then has shown brutality to the nobles, redistributing much of their land to the peasants. The Sung dynasty has so far restored prosperity, as China has once again shown its true self as one of the richest lands on Earth, and its porcelain cities grow wealthy. It has also started to ply overseas, with its brutal subjugation of Taiwan. While many nobles question the Sung and its harsh taxation of them, the dynasty retains immense support amongst the peasantry. However, it has still not reconquered Northern China, which still remains under Rouran control.

Spending:

48 EP for a large scale irrigation project which shall increase farming production and hopefully help all peasants to have enough food to eat.

5 EP into funding peasant revolt in Liao (see Military Orders section for more info).
3 EP for military supplies (same as above).
3 EP for hiring prostitutes for the army (same as above).

Domestic Orders:

Imperial Scholars, led by Ling Wei, shall create the Yangdi Code. The Code will not include any new laws or change the legal system, but rather it will attempt to collect and categorize all laws of the Empire so as to make the legal system of the Empire more flexible and effective. Laws that are deemed too long would be shortened, laws that contradict each other will be fixed so as to ease the contradictions and the laws will be categorized into subgroups, so as to make it easier to access the laws and view together relevant to a subject laws.

An "Office of Laws" will be formed, with the job of updating up to date the Code every ten years.

Military Orders:

I like to micro-managed military campaigns. Of course, battle plans will be left to the Generals themselves but planning military campaigns is my favorite part of writing orders, so I will give the general directions the army will follow.

Deception

Sun Tzu said that deception is the most important part of war. So, I will use a grand scheme that will blind the Liao.

28 Infantry Companies, 5 Cavalry Companies and 5 Siege Trains, under the direct command of Chancellor Yang Guo (if you could mention this in the update, because of an RP I plan, I would be most grateful :D) shall gather at the Liao border in 501.

There, from 501 to 503, they will carry out military exercises. In case the Liao ask about this, tell them in secret that our government is preparing for a possible intervention in case of a Rouran invasion of Liao.

But, this is not the real reason for those exercises. In reality, what I want to achieve is to make the Liao to get used to Sung military presence at their border. At first, they will send the army at the border in case of a possible Sung invasion. But after two years of the Sung army doing just exercises and not invading, the Liao will have gotten used to it.

So, when the real invasion begins, their army will be unprepared and their border defense will be minimal.

Rebellion

From 501, Sung spies disguised as merchants shall enter Liao, shall establish spy networks and spread propaganda among the Liao peasantry and how well the Sung peasants are treated (which is true) and how the land belongs to them and not the aristocrats (which is also true).

In 504, making use of the funds mentioned in the spending section, they will organize a peasant uprising and equip the rebels with Sung weapons smuggled into Liao.

Thus, when the invasion begins, not only the Liao will not have a defense at the border due to being used to Sung military presence, but they shall also have to face a powerful internal enemy.

Invasion

In 504, once the rebels cause enough trouble in Liao, the Sung Army (28 Infantry Companies, 5 Cavalry Companies and 5 Siege Trains), led personally by Chancellor Yang Guo, shall invade Liao without a prior declaration of war.

Goals:

The army will move fast to destroy major military units and capture the capital of Liao.

Supplies and Prostitutes:

A supply line should have been established (see spending section) and the soldiers will be fed with those supplies instead of living off the land.

Robbing of civilians, rapes and other behavior that is hostile towards the local population will be cracked down really hard.

Tell the soldiers that the peasants of Liao are their countrymen and fellow Chinese and that their real enemies are the Liao aristocrats, who are barbarians.

Also promise them that the wealth of the Liao aristocracy will be distributed among them, so they do not need to steal from the poor people.

Because soldiers are men, prostitutes will be hired (see spending section) to follow along the army and shall serve the soldiers, so rape can be avoided.

Treatment of Enemy Soldiers:

Before each battle/siege, Sung messengers will be send to persuade the Liao army to surrender and join ranks with the Sung army.

Tell them about the corruption of Liao and how their King exploits their people. Then tell them that the spoils of war will be shared with them, if they join us, and that they can have revenge at corrupt officials and greedy aristocrats.

Also tell them that those who wish to defect to us but do not want to battle their former comrades, that they can retire and that the state will give them land once the war is over.

Treatment of Peasants:

Emissaries shall also be send to villages where the army will pass by and they will tell the peasants that the Sung army does not view them as enemies, but rather as fellow Chinese. And that's why no Sung soldiers commit atrocities against them.

Promise them that once the war is over, the land will be redistributed among them, just like in Sung itself, where the Sung Emperors have long ago given the land to the peasants.

The same message shall be send to the peasant rebels, who shall be asked to join the Sung army.

Treatment of Liao Officials:

Liao Officials who surrender shall retain their positions. However, if enough citizens accuse an official of corruption and can provide enough evidence, that official will be beheaded in public despite surrendering.

After the Invasion

The Liao shall be annexed into Sung.

All the riches of the aristocrats and the King of Liao shall be equally distributed among the soldiers, both Sung and defected Liao. The Emperor will not take a single cent.

The land will be taken from the aristocrats and will be redistributed equally among the Liao peasants.

Tax exemption will be given for ten (10) years to former Liao in order to allow it to recover from war.

Organize Imperial Examinations in former Liao so new and young scholars from Liao can be appointed to official positions in the former Liao. That way, the people of former Liao will not feel excluded from the government nor will they see Sung officials taking charge of their land.

Foreign Orders:

Trade with Rouran and Hirajima.

Autumn campaign:
Spoiler :
pqe8kSg.png

The campaign will begin with intensive artillery fire around the positions faced by the 1st Cavalry and north of River Paranaiba in early March.

After a week, the 1st Armoured Division and the 1st Cavalry Division will execute a pincer move around the fork of rivers Paranaiba and Grande, the Armoured attacking from the North and Cavalry from the South.

The advance of the Armoured will be covered on its right flank by the 4th Infantry, which is already guarding the front in that area.
The newly recruited 10th will advance with the 1st Cav to solidify control of the pincer and support the attack of the 5th on the encircled area.

Should the 1 Cav find heavy resistance in crossing the Parana, it should simply cover the advance of the 10th and then turn westwards to swipe enemy forces on east bank of the Parana.

Artillery attacks by the 3rd Artillery over Grande should precede the attack on the encirclement and the isolated troops along the Parana river, with the Armoured putting pressure on the west bank.

September campaign:
Spoiler :
74kvJxW.png

Should the Autumn Campaign succeed in all its objectives without incurring in major losses in the "mobile" divisions (1st Cav & 1st Arm), another offensive should take place as soon as troops in that sector have been redeployed. A minimum of 2 Artillery Divisions, 3 Infantry Divisions and both Mobile Divisions is required for the September campaign to take place.

Arm will take up positions in the coast, while Cav will be stationed by River Sao Francisco. The objectives are to clear the area west of the Sao Francisco of enemy forces., again by isolating the area and disrupting the enemy lines, attempting a pincer move. and then attacking the encircled area.

War Plans
Spoiler Image :
F3nBT42.png

The first day of March with favourable weather forecasting, a general offensive will commence. All units will launch attacks on all sectors of the front. These will be aimed at positions of relative unimportance and badly defended in order to minimise possible losses. This first step has the objective to pin down the scarce enemy divisions. A couple days after these initial operations, the main attack will take place in the salient north of the Parana and the one on the Sao Francisco. Little resistance is expected due to total numerical superiority making manoeuvring impossible at risk of disintegrating the front and causing a total collapse.

The 1st Armoured will ram against the enemy lines west of the Paraná, aiming for the source of river Tocantins and then to hook up with the Cavalry Division north of Brasilia. 2nd Infantry, positioned behind the Armoured, is tasked with consolidating the gains and expanding them between the Paraná and Brasilia to lay siege to the city.

The 1st Cavalry will attempt a breakthrough with the 5th Inf just west of the Sao Francisco whilst the 6th Infantry will parallel its advance on the east bank until reaching the border. It is expected that the coastal area will be poorly defended and may fall in its entirety under the pressure of four divisions (3 Inf, 1 Art). 1Cav will follow along the border until it links up with the 1Arm, and 5Inf will consolidate and close the gap around the Paraná.

It is expected that the enemy will have no standing army left to defend its current territory, and that any scattered forces that may have survived will have been cornered in poor, isolated regions or forced into guerilla tactics.

In conclusion: this offensive is expected to yield total victory.

Padania, the Benelux, East and West Germany and Poland found Middle Europe. For most of the year, members of the cabinet have been meeting with East German and Polish counterparts in several rounds of negotiation which were also attended by members of the Benelux and West German governments. Finance Minister Gianni Taglia was consistent in describing the fruit of negotiations as “a long-lasting bond which represents one step closer to the old ideal of a unified European market.” When the charter was published, some voices asserted that Middle Europe would severely curtail Padania's sovereignty and ability to act independently. Answering this questions, Prime Minister Alessio Bellini said he has the utmost confidence on the President and his head advisor on foreign policy, Carlo Petruccelli. Repeating the latter's chant of “in union lies the strength of Europe, and in Europe's strength lies Padania's,” the PM qualified the negotiations as the success of Padania and Europe.

Padania leads European reaction to Chinese meddling. After China coupled its trade agreement with South Italy with a guarantee of independence, a surge of repulse has swept across Europe's nations, most of which have raised their tariffs with the Asian superpower. The first and most radical of them has been Padania, which has imposed a de facto embargo on Chinese goods. Padanian officials led by Carlo Petruccelli have stated that the Chinese are trying to meddle with European affairs and that its guarantee is but an excuse to station troops in Italy.

Operation Steel Man
Spoiler :
Deployment:

The I Army Corps and the II Army Corps, encompassing the Third and Fourth Divisions and the Fifth and Sixth Divisions respectively, are to be deployed at Lyon. The I Corps will carry 10 pieces of artillery, whilst the II Corps will carry 5 pieces of anti-person artillery.

The III Corps, with the First and Second Divisions, will be stationed in Clermont-Ferrand, and it will occupy heavily fortified positions along the border. All artillery available will be assigned at these fortifications.

The enemy will have responded to our fake plans, leaked on purpose, and thus will have occupied the zones near the border at Bourges and Châteauroux, at Nevers, and at Chalon-sur-Saône or most possibly Dijon, to control the nearby crossroads allowing for a better manoeuvrability.
Spoiler :
5GVtQTg.png

Phase One: Steel Blade

The I Corps will cross the border at Picardy. Then, the Third Division will march to take Besançon and then Mulhouse. The Fourth Division will take Dijon, carrying all the artillery. The enemy is expected to be at Dijon. If it is the case, the Fifth Division will arrive at Dijon to reinforce the attack from the flank.

The II Corps will take Chalon-sur-Saône, and then the Fifth Division will march to reinforce the Fourth’s attack on Dijon, whilst the Sixth Division will march to Auxerre will the anti-person-artillery.

The III Corps is to remain idle, ready to repeal any enemy attack from Nevers or Bourges and Châteauroux.

Contingency:
If the enemy is at Chalon-sur-Saône, the Fourth will reinforce the attack of the II Corps, after taking Dijon. Then, the Fourth will go back to Dijon, and the II Corps will advance to Auxerre.

Spoiler :
RaJWPBU.png

Phase Two: Steel Fist

In this second phase, the enemy will possibly be retreating from Nevers to protect Paris before the II Corps reaches it. The II Corps is to block their way at the crossroads on Amilly, fortifying their position against attacks either from Orleans or from Nevers. Artillery is to be used in this defensive perimeter.

The I Corps will then continue the invasion of Picardy. The Fourth Division will advance through Troyes to take Reims, still carrying their 10 pieces of artillery. The Third Division will take Strasbourg first and then Metz.

The III Corps is to remain idle as long as no enemy movement is registered, but it will be given the order to advance and take the enemy positions if it retreats.

Spoiler :
OVRul6X.png

Phase Three: Warhammer

The enemy is expected to retreat from Bourges and Châteauroux to break the blockage executed by the II Corps and protect Paris. Then, the First Division will abandon its positions and occupy both Bourges and Châteauroux. The Second Division is to reinforce the II Corps by taking Nevers and attacking the enemy from behind.

At the same time, the Fourth Division will advance and hopefully take Paris. If heavy resistance is encountered, the city will be bombarded. The Third Division will advance to Reims and then conquer Lille, effectively granting the Confederation control over Picardy.

The II Corps is of course to hold their fortified position by any means possible until the Second Division comes to sight, moment in which the II Corps will engage the enemy in close combat. The enemy is expected to be defeated in this battle.

Spoiler :
QFgXLsy.png

Phase Four: Shattered Armour

The enemy is expected to have reached Orleans at this phase, possibly Chartres. The First Division will continue to pursue him, taking Orleans. The II Corps is to advance to Orleans as well, and take positions behind the enemy with the anti-person artillery.

The Second Division is to reinforce the Fourth at Paris. The Fourth is to create a fortified position as close as possible to Chartres, in order to surround the last enemy forces.

The Third Division will then take Calais and advance to Paris. The enemy will be engaged, bombarded with artillery and defeated at Chartres.

From: Yugoslavia
To: Gethic

Would it be possible to provide us with aid? If Yugoslavia is defeated, you will lose your only major European ally while Math and Terran, who are your enemies, shall dominate the Mediterranean. In chat, Terran said that he is angry with your colonization of Africa and that he shall kick you out of Africa once I am defeated.

So, you should support us militarily.

We wanted Somalia as a airbase so we could support you more directly: we will use it as a staging ground to sent air unit support to begin with, before we join the war. We will set out a aircraft carrier to support our invasion of Somalia: this carrier will also serve as a temporal runway for a cargo plain to transport industrial tools and weapons to your cause. We will in addition begin to fly Gethic war plane to be used by you as a loan, beginning with fighters to counter Italian bombers to nerve gas bombers to punish Italy. Though we are not in war at this stage (though next stage (ooc: turn) we will be able to make moves) we will begin to give you air aid so that you can counter your greatest problem; dem bombers.

Once Somalia is ours we will begin to launch through either Egypt or (if we must) co-operate with Mexico to bypass the Maghreb. We cannot start aiding you with troops until a marine passage is available, though we can use airfields in Somalia as staging grounds for Gethic bombers to target the "Emperor's" strategic grounds as well as Gethic fighters to will be eager to do dog fighting as well as shoot down bombers. Finally we will be ready to para-drop Vanguard and even Coreguard once we are in the war behind enemy positions, though you must co-operate with our intelligent services to enable them to be deployed wisely.

Though we are logistically unable to aid directly this moment (turn) we will be able to supply you with military air units and in the next moment we will start to rain nerve gas over Rome while our troopers will attempt to kidnap the "Emperor." In second thoughts... we might start this moment with covert activity by deploying a chemical agent in a "Roman" strategic point if need be; we will need intelligence from you to aid such operation.

Consider well.

You do not need to bypass Terran. From what he said in the chat and other reliable sources, he is going to join directly the war this turn.

Also, will your air support come this turn or the next?

This turn we will aid by donating aircraft (such as fighters) and conducting covert activity: next turn we will start directing our war efforts. We cannot do so though without logistical aid, hence the importance of Somalia for Gethic aircraft. Egypt would make a good channel to strike Turkey; we use Somalia as a staging base to invade the Maghreg puppet and then use the Canal (or if not then the Suez ports) to ensure we can ferry our troops to your cause.

This turn we supply you fighters and jet bombers; next turn we will rain chemicals over Rome and bring the "Emperor of Constantinople" to justice with aid of our tanks. If we strike through Gibraltar then Mexico will need to be deployed better for such purpose.
