Irrigation how can I do it?

Hi,
I haven't been able to find the option to irrigate.
I know that If i press 'I' my worker will irrigate (sometimes),
but I never see the button down there with the build road and disband buttons.

So far I have been forced to automate to get some irrigation.

Help me guys!

If you haven't discovered electricity yet, you need to be in a square adjacent to a source of fresh water. That source can either be a river, a lake, or an irrigated square.
