Is 1.52 incompatable with older savegames?

I just installed 1.52 and decided to get a peek at some of the low-res victory movies I missed the first time around because of stuttering.

I got the victory message at the bottom.... and a dialogue box that said "showWonderMovie" with no way to get rid of it. Couldn't even take a screenshot. I had to alt-f4 out. I'm going to try out the other savegames and brb.



EDIT> It only happens on the autosave on the turn after the victory condition was met. I think a wonder was finishing that turn.

In any case, I completed a different game, and the victory movie wouldn't play at all (the audio went fine, but it'd get stuck like 3 seconds in).

doesnt look like 1.09 or nilla saves are working with the new patch... but thats a real small price to pay for the stability this patch brings.

I've succesfully loadded a 1.09 game and completed it using 1.52.

The only small issue was that half the cities I've conquered popped up and claimed to have culture-switched and asked if I wanted to raze them.
