A woman's lot is a tougher one than a man's.

She has breasts which are a source of unwanted harrassment and are vulnerable to cancer. She has to suffer the indignity of long queues to public toilets. She suffers great pain in childbirth. As Eve she was blamed for the fall from Grace.

And she generally lives longer. As "God loves those who die young" He must not love women as much as men. /:some irony:/

No, "gyn" is the Latin root for female ["andr" = male, as in android, androgen, etc] so it always means a woman-hater. If you wanted to say man-hater, you would use misandrist.

How come breast cancer gets so much attention, but you didn't mention prostrate cancer, for instance?

I have the feeling that breast cancers kill more women than prostate cancer men. It would be an interesting exercise to list the serious diseases afflicting specifically men and women and assesssin the relative mortality.

eg Cancer of the uterus vs the testis

There's two sides. I mean we all know females are the "fairer" sex. There are pro's & con's for each, but if you feel it's weighted in favor of men then maybe you shouldn't blame your God, but the men who transcribed his/her words.

I don't think God is such a sadist. We are the way we are because that's what the laws of the universe made us(evolution) while breast are good for looking at they also serve a puropse(unless they are found on a man in which case he should probably take up an exercise regiment) Cancer is just cells going corrupt from radiation or whatever else causes it. Not to mention that we all inevitably die though cancer is not one of my top ten ways to go our bodies will only hold out for so long. Adam and Eve is just an old fable. The female generaly lives longer is speculated that back in the old days those children with grandmothers lived longer because they could watch after them while the mother was away(or something) this is also believed why they have menopause. Men are biologically more expendables seeing as one sexualy healthy male can impregnate many women. As for the social problems that is a design from humans ourselves and we seem to be getting better as time goes along.

Because there is no moral authority saying "ooo, women have to squeeze out a watermelon, while men only have premature death, lets make the baby smaller". Throughout evolution we have developed this way for survival purposes. There is no God keeping score.

By the way, the breast obsession is largely based on western culture rather than being of genetic design. In tribal cultures where breasts are constantly exposed, they are not that big of a deal.

It quite obviously comes from Greek: gune means woman, and I think the other part comes from the verb miseo.

Likewise, aner, andros is Greek, not Latin!

Basically yes, but it would also apply to most monotheistic ones eg Islam, Judaism.
