Is it possible to make Civ4 run with DX 11?

Hello everyone!

I´ve been wondering if it there is any possible method to make Civ4 look at DirectX 11 files instead of DirectX 9.0c...

Situation is I currently don´t own a personal computer and I´d like to run it on my corporate laptop (on my spare time, come on!), but I don´t have administrator privileges on it to install any byte of software, let alone an API such as DX - it´s got Windows 7 with DirectX 11, but I can´t even manually copy .dll files into the Windows\System folder (yeah, I tried), so it would have to be a tweak on Civ, not a correction on the system.

I´ve managed to install Civ4 to a USB stick on another computer (which should work, right?) but it looks for DirectX 9.0 stuff (specifically good old d3dx9_32) when I try to run it, even though DirectX 11 is there...

Any lights? Or at least any definite confirmation that it can´t be done and I´ll have to wait until I acquire myself another computer?

Thanks in advance, either way!

It's a different solution than I'd thought, but setting the path to another folder with the DX9 files might work.

Now I only have to find the DLL files for x64 OS...
