The ships are in voxels in a standard format however I have yet to see a ship mod. I've been experimenting with the C&C voxel editor with no-luck. Anyone who figures it out or makes a ship editor post it here..... so far with my experiments it doesnt look possible. I could have the wrong C&C editor however......
:UPDATE: I did have the wrong editor it requires the Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun Editor Also The Voxels are compressed into 5 files 1 ship file and 4 debris files however once you uncompress them and edit them there is no program to recompress them.
PS Im still working on it I'll update this message as I learn more.
One of the biggest flaws in my opinion are the ship graphics. I understand that to keep everything "to scale" that the ships have to be tiny considering the size of the battlefield. But bah..
Now my big problems is ive gotten farther then anyone else it seems I've been able to seperate the voxels IE decompress them with the C&C TS editor HOWEVER there is not a program I have found to re-compress them im afraid we may need to make our own utility program...
However I have good news the grid and the pentas in the combat screen are in normal *.png files thus with some simple effort they can be changed... "by by grid hello star background" im already working on some very small backgrounds (just in case we can't change ship sizes)
I would like to take time to thank the modding community who all by themselves have fixed most of the bugs in the game.
(funny most of the game is in spreadsheet text format and can be fixed by simple text editing and I mean mostly anything including the AI itself makes me wonder...)
