I mean, if you disable all victory types except scoring, do you think it is possible to win playing with high levels of difficulty?
It is pretty easy to win a score victory, as the more time the player has, the more time they have to snowball. AI doesn't tend to snowball as much.
You get a TON of points for just having cities and population:How could snowball play a role in a score victory? With a better start in Emperor+, AI can build a lot of wonders and get many GPs before you are able to, which means a lot of points ahead.
If you disable all the other victories, you will just get a score victory instead. Of course assuming you are winning generally and not play only religious or cultural when that victory cannot be had.How could snowball play a role in a score victory? I do miss the games in some early Civ's where you finally managed to reach the continent of the other civs and found out they were on the same level with you
and yet ,the best way to do that is to wipe them out eventually leaving a capital parked if full elimination triggers the end of the game in this context (no idea never tried to go for score)The real question is can you get a score victory without disabling the other victory conditions.

Yeah well it is disabled. I just expressed slight doubt that the game would let you go on after everyone else is dead. To be frank, I think it would. You will probably trigger a cultural victory that way...
You must be referring to civ 4. Maybe civ3 to a lesser extent. I don't think I ever conquered the world in Civ 4 like I have in Civ 6 or 2. Civ 4 iirc, you suffered increased inefficiency the bigger your empire got (depending on government type). Perhaps civ6 needs caps to how much science and culture you can get in a single turn. I would support that. But I still want the ability to conquer the world. It just would be nice if you didn't snowball so much to make it so easy.
It doesn't - if you kill everyboy else it tells you that "eveyone else has lost, so you are the winner".I just expressed slight doubt that the game would let you go on after everyone else is dead. To be frank, I think it would.

This. The real question is can you get a score victory without disabling the other victory conditions.
This.
Has anyone? How would you do it?
A culture victory is very likely in this case, isn't it? You would have to keep a balance between them not being able to win science, while letting them be strong enough to counter your culture victory.leave 1 civ alive with a few crappy cities
The horror. The real challenge would be a OCC score victory.
In the one and only score victory I did I left Germany with 3 cities surrounded by modern armour and missile cruisers (yes I was bored) the key was not to use theatres. Without theatres or tile improvements you make very little tourism.Has anyone? How would you do it?
