Is MP loading fixed yet?

Back when Civ 5 launched, my friend and I would play online together and the first 100 turns on a large map would be fine, but after turn 200 or so max, the load times would honestly be 2-3 MINUTES per turn. We both have good computers (2.8ghz Q6700 Quad Core\ATI Radeon HD 4890x2\4gb DDR3 RAM\20mb down-10mp up connection) and this load time seemed ridiculous.

Basically, has it been improved?
 
They did reduce turn times alot in the 3rd patch I beleive, but the more AI civs you play with the more lag you are going to have eventually, there is no cure to that, Civ5 is just a demanding game and the AI code is not multithreaded at all.

I'm sorry to say Tamed, but I recently played MP with two of my buddies,(3 human players and 9 AI on huge map) after about 100 turns, loading times between each turn was 2-3 min...We couldn't play it...can't wait 3 min each time when we end our turn in less than a min.

I want to know if anyone played MP more than 2 human players on huge map with max AI and played flawlessly after 100 turns....or maybe this is not possible?

FYI we were playing on i7 920 or greater, 4GB ram or greater, ATI 5850 1gb or greater.
 
I doubt it, not until they make the AI code able to use more than one core of our high end CPU's....

Hey CS, so do you know what map size and how many human and AI is good enough for the computer spec I mentioned it above to play good enough?
 
You will have to experiment I guess. We at CP simply don't play with AI at all, partially because of the induced lag, but more just because AI is dumb and most competitive MP players just want to play humans, so I really don't know myself what amount of AI would allow you to finish a game :-/
