I'm just going to put out the list and if anyone has these problems. Please help if you can.

1 game crashes during play and launching.
2 takes anywhere from 12 minutes to 21 minutes for a previously saved game to start.
3 most of the time the other countries won't trade.
4 can't skip pass intro vid.
5 have to connect to internet before game will launch. Then disconnect after game begins.
6 floating objects across screen ( Mines, farms, mnts, buildings, etc, etc. But nothing that moves. only stationary stuff.
7 directx 9 doesn't work. everything is the same except the jerking and jumping when moving around screen is worse than directx 10 or 11.
8 also on 9,, land mass is always gray covered except for tops of mountains. everything comes in to view when you stop moving.
9 side and top and bottom scroll dosen't stop when you do. The pointer stops the screen keeps moving pass the point you wanted. It is also to sensitive. makes it hard when your choosing things to build and the screen suddenly starts moving.
9b never goes to the spot you click on in small map.
10 unless your at full upgrades on all military equiptment. The other AI players will kick your butt badly. Even if your toe to toe with exact units. They are ALWAYS stronger until max upgrade.
11 build railraods where you didn't want them and ends up with circles and crazie 8s and the extra track it makes. You get charged 2 maint. per turn. even tho you didn't ask for it.
12 Missle crusiers do only one damge while a battleship does 2 to 4.
13 when you choose abundent resourses. It will give you two maybe three resourses in scattered spots not close to each other. except for farm res. like cottan, wine, spices. Last time I got deer, cattle, sheep, cotton, spice. Never any coal, marble, iron, oil, uranium. Had to try and trade with AIs that won't trade no matter how good the deal.
14 it doesn't matter who you play as. IT ALWAYS drops you in the middle of africa.

Now if these things are normal for this game then the apple fell pretty dang far from the tree. I have played all the CIVs and NEVER had any problems.
Oh and plz don't say it's my computer. For the first 10 to 12 hrs of playing everything was perfect.
Now it's worse than rejected garbage from the bottom of a dump.
So if any one can help I'd be greatful.
Oh yea. I reinstalled the game ounce and now everytime I turn on my computer. It says program not installed correctly. Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 need to run this program. It gives you a link and I have downloaded 2,3,and 4. and it still pops up. Only started after reinstall
Peace

10 never goes to the spot you click on in small map.

Welcome to CFC :).

And hey, you don't tell us anything about your computer here ;) -> what's the graphics card e.g. ;).

#1 yes, for many people, Firaxis fault, #4 see tech FAQ, #6 + #9 are bugs, #8 your graphics card is probably to weak, try lower settings, #11 pillage them, and don't automate workers.

I didn't send any info on my computer because 1. It's ALWAYS my computer. 2 I played the game off and on for 12 hrs or so. saveing and starting worked just fine. After 12 hrs of play is when the preobs started. So if it was my computer wouldn't the problems be from the get go and not 1/2 a day later.
So if alot of other people are having some of the same problems. Then I guess there's no fixing it.
And now I can't get pass the yr 2188. Everytime I play to that yr. It locks up. I have saved previous yrs and started from diffrent ones and tried to do diffrent things but with no prevail. I can't finish the game.
Peace
And just in case. How do you change the settings on a preinstalled graphics card.
Never said I was computer wiz, lololol:lol:

Yea to anyone who reads this as I can see only one has. But anyway. It was suggested that I reinstall Civ V. So I did. It took way longer than the first time. And now it won't launch. Period. It was also suggested that I reinstall windows 7 if I didn't have alot on my computer. I don't so I did. That did not work. Civ V no longer works. I think the people who made the game should be held responsable and do a recall and reinburse everyone for their 69 bucks or whatever they paid. This crap of putting software out just to make a buck and so "Oh well, we'll fix the bugs later". is exactly that "BULL CRAP"
And if people don't stand up to this malarkie. Then we will never be able to get software that works. And the big wigs know that as individules we can't do anything about it. But as a whole. We can !

To be fair, it sounds like your computer.

Most of your issues seem to be RAM or graphics related.

Please list your graphics card model and amount of RAM so people can verify that this is not the issue and then move on to potential solutions.

Need to know how?

Click start menu and type "dxdiag" and press enter: directx diagnostic tool gives you all the technical info about your pc.

First I have to say this. Does anyone read everything I write.
The game played perfectly PERFECTLY for about 12 hrs with save and restarting saved game several times during that 12 hrs. The problems did not start until AFTER the 12 hrs. If it was my computer. I would have had these problems from the begining.
But just to make it easier for someone to say it's my computer. Here's the info dxdiag gave me.
Spoiler :

Your graphics card driver is 1.5 years old, and doesn't even tell us what's in your machine.
-> Update the drivers. Because we can#t tell what's in there, you should take a look at the site of the retailer, to see what card is mentioned there.

I talked to 2kgames at 1-866-219-9839 i read all info from dxdiag and they say that my system is compatable to run Civ V

In strategic view. You have a standard card that is being manupulated by software. This game needs a graphics card that has the hardware built into it.

For most people the game does not crash until around turn 250+. Unless you can identify the card that your computer has, from what you sent, either the graphic driver is not installed properly or the game has fried your current card and the computer is defaulting to standard VGA.

Well whatever a "standard vga graphics adapter" is, it sounds like it was a real champ for 12 hours, and then did what it should have done from the getgo, fail. Sorry but this game really needs a real graphics card to play even poorly.

I had to reinstall the drivers for the graphics card and did a file verify at steam and so far all is good. But I just started a new game. So we'll have to wait and see what happens later.
Peace

Drivers/file corruption is best thing to be your problem since they are/were easily fixed. Good Luck and happy playing!

I have some of the problems you have, but not as bad. I will point out that, other than your graphics card, your processor barely meets the minimum requirements. Plus, it appears that 64 bit operating systems are glitchy. I have a 64 bit quad core and a graphics card superior to their recommended requirements and it still crashes for me.

its not your pc, its the ppl who worked out the game code, they are Martian.

they think all customers pc is made from Mars, can tolerate thier Martian codes, but end up tons of bugs.

Hi, Yes I have read all your notes, wouldn't it be nice if some of the tech staff that designed the game read these pages and did something about what seems to be the same problem for everyone.ie.CRASHES. Yours seems to be a graphics problem and I am no whiz either. I upgraded my card and it is running a lot better. I have played and finished 3 games on large maps. When I finish current map am going to try another huge and see how it goes. Meanwhile hiway ,keep on plugging.
I have a GT660 card if you want it and don,t live in Iceland or somewhere.
