you know when they send in a spy or diplomat to "incite revolt" and basicly buy 1 of your cities?

can i disable that feature somehow, or set the price for buying cities and units so high it will be pretty much impossible?

In Test of Time you can give any unit an "unbribable" flag, or set their bribe cost to be quite high. I made Partisans very expensive to bribe, and Fanatics impossible to bribe, in this manner.

not really but if you set the difficulty to king or below, the AI doesn't bribe.
The AI will still bribe units at levels as low as Warlord (maybe lower). At least in ToT.

- Keep the AI at a deficit via ChangeMoney event each turn so it can't afford to bribe.

- Increase unit cost (proportionally) so they are more expensive to bribe.

(Note that units in stacks cannot be bribed in Civ2.)

As far as I can tell, the amount of money the AI has is not related to how much it bribes (since it doesn't actually use money)

I remeber having done a test where I had the AI bribe a city, then re-did the same test only after having reduced the AI's treasury and th city didn't get bribed. It was a while ago that I did the test so...

That's what I get, too - at least in ToT. In a scenario of mine, I have to top up the AI's treasury with an event so that it can bribe the player's cities at a specific point in the game – otherwise it can't afford to and nothing happens. Its bank balance definitely takes a hit from doing so.

Will the AI be forced to sell improvements in the same way a human player is?

Wobbegong, on how many scenarios of yours are you working? Is there another beyond WotR?
