I have the day off and finished a grueling 9 hr game. Now I want to play with the editor now that I have the first blood lust done. ^_^ but how the heck to I make one? civ IV had the ingame editor, but how do i access it in civ V?

thanks loads.

thanks, seems odd that there are some maps out there though. :P I guess they are programmer types, again, thanks, back to conquering the world.

Boo... so no in-game editor like in IV? Came looking because there's a hill in a spot I don't want a hill... so I was going to do like I do in Civ IV to tweak the map as I find I need to. I don't know if one can say that's cheating because I'm also known to say "to many resources around this city, I'll fix that" and go a head and remove them and move them to less resourced spots. (that is to say around one of my cities to a spot away from my cities)

I really hope so, Civ without mapeditor is....well....is not Civ, not anymore.

Exactly... Does anyone have any idea when this week it will be released? Because I plan on devoting an entire day on map editor :P .

Does it auto-DL with steam (ie: was it in the patch from afew days ago) and is it in-game like the one for civ IV? I like editing my maps on the fly while I'm playing away.

Ok, nevermind, figured out where to DL it. Doesn't look like you can access it in-game though :( To bad too, like I mentioned, I like to edit my game on the fly........

Okay am I the only one that cant find that damn worldbuilder anywhere ive been searching for a half hour now and still no luck.. help please...

"EDIT nevermind found it"

But does anyone know if its is possible to make a bigger map then "huge" (128x80) I would like a giant earth map like I had in CIV IV around 192x120?

Thank you,

Are you aware of a way to reveal a map during play as in Civ IV...
Meaning if I retire/quit, is there a way to review the map, unit/city placements, improvement, etc.?

I used this and the "history playback" in Civ IV a lot to see how the game progressed.

Thanks again.

You can use FireTuner to reveal map during play, place items, change terrain, give money/techs/culture, and generally cheat.

In CIV IV you can just enter the worldbuilder to see how it looks

I'm not sure that you can change terrain with the Firetuner

The Firetuner can actually be used to change some terrain (or features). Theres an "Action Control" button that can be used to place Forests on the Map panel (and maybe one more - haven't got access to it right now). You can also create your own Action Control buttons that uses a script to do similar things.

I haven't figured out how to use it yet - so far I just copied the "Place Forest" button and played around with the script a bit buit all I was able to trigger was the placement of Forests (which was already there) and Fallout (which is hardly interesting to place near one of your cities).

Have been looking around for a description of how to mod Action Control buttons but haven't seen anything yet. Anyone got any ideas?
