Is there any bonus for "Discovering the World is round"?

Just wondered, as I like to be the one who discovers this first (I must be a repressed explorer!)

There is none, even though you get a popup when someone gets it first. I find that a little off; why bother informing people that Elizabeth has discovered that our globe is round when it won't mean anything to her or others?
On the New World Scenario from the Spain/Inca DLC, there is a bonus, though, for the first explorer that finds China

In civ iv there was a +1 movement for ships of the discoverer i think

In the global define xml there is a simple tag which states:

<Row Name="CIRCUMNAVIGATE_FREE_MOVES">
<Value>0</Value>
</Row>

Just set it to whatever you want, as the default is zero-no effect.

There is an achievement for the 1st time you, the player, do it, but no other bonus im afraid.
