I just had this burning question and have thus far been unable to fully answer it.

Wikipedia says
Unlike other fruits, it is difficult to extract juice from bananas because when compressed a banana simply turns to pulp.
Which makes sense. But it doesn't say impossible, just difficult.

Google just seems to have instances of banana flavored other juice. My questions, does there exist any banana juice? Can I buy some? and Have you ever had any?

You need to make a sort of melba from the banana to get banana juice

I remember that it is a sort of sauce made very smooth by forcing it through a cloth thus removing all but the liquid itself

I usually prepare a cool glass of banana juice every morning by enzymatic liquefaction. :)
Wow! It has a "highly acceptable aroma"! Still, that's just experimental stuff, and I'm not sure if the dude even drank it. I was wondering if there's any more available banana juices.

Try this:

peel the bananas
chop them to small pieces
crush them somehow
take a piece of cloth through which you force it (not your t-shirt but a towel-like thing whatsit)

It definitely exists, and I've had it a few times. It comes in tiny bottles that look like they might be baby food over here, and it's not always easy to find.

It is soft and of medium thickness, you know it's right when you put cottage cheese or something similar on it and the water flows through it.

You don't need a big press if you have the right cloth.

zxcvbnm's method won't work.

My suggestion:

need:
bananas
water
cheese cloth & a strainer

blend the bananas in water, you need enough water so that the resulting blend is more "liquidy" then "solidy". Then place the cheese cloth in the strainer, and pour on the banana water. Do *not* try to push it through the cheese cloth or anything, just leave it and let it slowly drip through. What you'll have after that should be some sort of fairly well-clarified banana-water, but it won't be of very high concentrate. To reconcentrate it, boil it down a bit. Then cool it, and see if it tastes good!

That's mostly my method

That's how I would do it. :goodjob:

You can buy it if its mixed with other juices. Dole makes a Strawberry Banana juice thats pretty common.

Except...

"Filtered water, orange juice concentrate, apple juice concentrate, white grape juice concentrate, pineapple juice concentrate, banana puree, natural flavors, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and strawberry juice concentrate."

A lot of "%100 Juice" drinks are apple / grape juice that's been flavoured :p
