In lot's of previews I saw that it said something about takeing turns, Does that mean you have to take turns in this game with the comper?:(

It is a strategy game... like a cross between chess and Monopoly, but it is also a role playing game in that you assume the role of leader of a fledgeling and developing civilization. Hope this explanation helps.:D

you kind of answerd my question but i don't compleatly understand.

So you like mean it is like chess, that your enemy takes a turn, and while he is doing that you can't do anything:(

yes, that is what he is saying. you go, then the computer players and then it comes back around to you again. I take it you haven't played the other versions. This isn't realtime like Age of Empires. Similar in ideolgoy though.

The computer generally doesn't take to long taking turns. There is no time limit. You could take as long as an hour or more if you wanted or 2 seconds if you just want the turn to end fast. The computer for me never takes longer than 30 seconds and only does that when later in the game with alot of units being moved around.

Yep exactly Toomas, but its not Multi-player yet so....

Basically the computer tends to be MUCH faster than the player unless you're playing a huge map with 16 civs and its gotten to the point where you've got hundreds of units in the game.

There isn't any real roleplaying in the game, besides what you want to attribute to it yourself...you're playing GOD...no one really interacts with you directly in the game (other leaders will 'chat' with you...but they don't really RP with you...) Still its fun to make up stories or excuses to yourself on why you had to drive the English screaming into the sea...

I actualy realy like real time stradegy games like age of emipres, but as on buddy said you can do your turn as long as you want, now that cooled me down alot.

But one more question. if you want to move your unit, will it go as far as you make it go or it will stop at a place where your turn has ended?

thanks for the help anyway guy.

it's my 7th day i found out about this, and it's the 3 day im using this chat place.:king:

Each unit has movement points, for example horsemen get 2 moves per turn while a warrior gets only 1 move per turn. It also depends on the type of terrain you are moving on, a road for example will use only 1/3rd of a move, so a warrior can make 3 moves on a road. Later in the game when you acquired steam power and found a coal resource you can build railroads on which units can travel unlimited distances per turn.
Hope it's explained now... ;)
