Is this not something that can be anwered here. I got Civ 4 for xmas and after enthuastically waiting to get home to play it I can't. After no problems installing it, when it get to check XML my cpu crashes to the point i get a blue screen with Windows has encoutered a problem and had to shut down to prevent further damage. I posted this yesturday and didn't get one reply. I know I am cpu illitrerate. I got the 2 disc set not the dvd. The instructions says enter disc 2 to play but it says cant find disc. I use disc one and it crashes. My cpu is 2 months old and it blows the minimum system requirements away. please help

Ok... some discs were incorrectly labeled, so instead of inserting disc 2, try putting in disc 1... that worked for me. About the check xml go to this link and see if this works for you...http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=135019
Hope it works. Also, do you have the newest patch? Not sure if it would help, but if nothing else works, its worth a try.

I went through all the xml thread i seen and didnt notice anything that seemed like the same problem i am having.

I downloaded the patch and it got past the xml to the voice before it did it again.

Try the patch. If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall then patch again.

I hate to tell you to go through all that, but it does cure a lot of problems with initial installations.
