I was thinking he left me with walls cos he was being a typical computer AI :)

If gunpowder negating walls is a global effect... that strikes me as something that can be improved upon. Personally, I don't think gunpowder should negate walls but I guess it's a matter of opinion... but either way, it shouldn't be a global effect but civilisation or ideally unit specific.
 
Gunpowered don't negate walls, walls are only negated when attacked by gunpowder based units.
