I got the game yesterday and installed it, and except for a 200ms lag when i try to move units, and a bit more when i bring up an advisor screen, it works. I noticed over the last week that not alot of working systems have been posted for refrence, so heres mine:
Hardware/OS:
AMD Athlon XP "Barton" +2500 Processor
Soyo KT400 Platinum Edition Montherboard
512MB Corsair XMS DDR400 RAM
Sapphire Radeon 9500 Video Card
Western Digital WD800JB Hard Drive
Windows 2000 Professional
Drivers:
All updated before i even tried to install the game (this includes latest version of catalyst.) Also note that i did NOT have DirectX 9.0c installed prior to installing Civ4. I also rebooted after the DX install but before i installed the actual Civ4 game.
Also Note:
My copy of Civ4 collectors edition was from the batch that got sent to amazon.com a day late... My play and install disks are labels correctly, you just have to have the install disk in to play the game. My manual is bound correctly, and my tech tree is in english. K, back to playing. I also did an "Express Install".
