JJ02-The Mystery Variants

well i'd say these are your choices. (all pretty bad)

1. you go to the spot i said and towards khan
2. you go to the wood bellow the mountion south east of lodnon to include copper, and other resources like sheep, beavers or wheat.
3.settle towards asoke to grab ivory.
4. settle to get hills and the gold.

i think it might be possible to miss copper and to just hope for iron, to sword rush asoka.

The problem we have is that Asoka can out culture us. It would be nice to try to take his copper or his pigs, but it probably won't work.

Simplest would probably be on the coast to grab the ivory and rice.

How about on the Gold next to the fresh water. It wastes a gold tile, but gains 2 gold, a wine and corn.

This will be more of a turn summary than a turn report, as I have to play 2 games in about an hour.

The turns were mostly boring except for the fact that my variants started taking huge effect. Research was writiing-Mysticism because we need obelisks to expand our borders. York shouldbe switched to an obelisk when mysticism comes in (one turn).

The end was mostly a frantic settling race, with us founding Nottingam in a spot near Khan that grabs gold and rice. This city should be good for commerce in the short term, but in the long term it won't be able to work more than ~8 tiles. I chose the spot because if I didn't settle there Khan would, and i didn't want that. we only beat him to the spot by one turn, so he will probably turn back and settle in the area of the proposed GP farm.

can i suggest we go for iron working next, if i could replay this i would of built worker then settler after settler in london until all good city spts are gone. then cottage spamed. followed by a bee- line to rifling and taking out out contientenent with redcots. sort of like cathrine cottage spam.

The rulership of Blastoid II is destined to be forgotten in the annals of history. His was manly a story of continuing the projects laid out by the great Sprite and dying before they were ever finished. The quest for iron did not end, though in his time important advances in its research were made. He also declined many invantation for open boarders fearing infiltration of english lands. He did finaly accept open boarders with the Arabs though as they were to far away settler our lands and we had a scout who wanted to pass through there area.
Only a granary in york was finished in the rulers time but barracks were started in york to prepare the inevitable wars and and obelisk was begun in nottingham in order for boarders to expand to include the gold. He also build roads to these outer resources so they can be quickly utilized after expansion.
At the time of his depth from overeating and apathy a workboat stood waiting in york for boarder expansion and a settler was near comletion to expand to the copper south of london if iron does not appear in a more usefull location.

well i don't think we can place another city without a war first we hook up iron the declare against asoka then turn back to face khan or the other way round
