JOE-03 - Xenophobia Returns

We have to decide where to build the HE also. It's quickest in the city on our south-westernmost city I believe ... forgot the city name at the moment

Turn 2

We're actually below Washington in power according to some old dude. We should plan our attack soon, don't want them gaining in power too much.

Berserker I am all for going to war and would like to knock Monty off but we should finish HC first as Monty has taken a barb city there. I don't know but I find building kind of boring. I like the warring part of it and we should take advantage of our Samurai whilst they still have an edge.

As to the HE I think you mean Osaka...
What about Brass lions wasn't that pumping out soldiers pretty good too??

I've got it and will concentrate on military build-up...I'll have a look closer at the game and decide who to slap around next. I'm all for finishing off HC as he's next to dead anyway. Monty next probably...Washington's not going to get much more powerful unless he starts settling HC/Monty lands. Maybe we could get Washington and Saladin fighting...they might have a bad relationship because of close borders and differing religions.

Sounds like a plan. I was hoping there'd be some way we can get Washington and Sally to war with each other .... but I'm coming up blank unless you count taking Washington's city and gifting it to Sally ...

They may hate each other enough to war if I just ask nicely, or pay them a wodge of money...no tech trading is the variant. Taking a city from Washington and gifting it to Sally for war against Washington would go against the variants, as any "taken" city should be gifted back to the person we took it from.

Crafty idea though, and not one I'd thought of for other games.

Well, I'm home now, but I got roped into some more moving (my folks are moving into a new home, so there's tons of stuff to be done...) - so basically, I'm have a 24ish hour window to play and then I'll be gone for the rest of the week until the weekend.

Sorry for all the hassle, I didn't really know this was going to happen until yesterday night...

So, I can either grab a quick turn, or just keep skipping me until the weekend. Up to you JesusOnEez :)

Pretty quiet until the intrusion of Buddhism on the last turn, but lots of units built...we could send an advanced party on in the 3 Galley's if we felt like it, or wait for Galleons for a massive strike.

I thought we're taking out HC first since he's almost nullified?

Yup...take out HC...shouldn't take more than a few turns once you get troops there. Washington is spreading at the moment, but if he starts spreading to HC's/Monty's lands, we may have to put a stop to it.

You could drop research to zero a few turns before Astronomy comes in to upgrade the Galleys to Galleons before attacking.

So yeah. Priority (assuming no extra spread from Washington).

1. - Destroy HC
2. - Destroy Monty
3. - Weaken/Destroy Washington
4. - Weaken/Destroy Saladin

Of course, we're running away in the tech race so the Space victory is a possibility as well. Concentrate on military and Space Race techs.

Sounds easy.

:)

This will be very brief. So sorry. :p

We are 7 turns from Mil Trad in a golden age. I am building a lot of roads. Apparently, Toku wants to take 88 turns to go from one end of the his island empire to the other.

We are ready to fall on HC like a ton of bricks. I will leave it to the next player. We are still running 10% culture to keep 2 cities from going ape.

I suggest we go to nationhood or free speech and free religion, but wait until after the golden age is over.

The Save

I wasn't sure if it's armstrong's turn or not, but I saw the "skip" part and went for it. If it jumped the gun, then we can consider this a skip armstrong. Having said that.... got it, and played.

Turn 0 - Took a look around, everything looks good.
Turn 1 - Set some units on move-to to the rally point. Since we're in GA, I decided to run some deficit to upgrade the galleys to galleons.
Turn 2 - zzz
Turn 3 - And we're out of the deficit with not turns lost from MT research, sweet!!! Our puny galleys are now GALLEONS.
Turn 4 - Looks like HC is trying to resettle his land, next turn we'll start shuffling troops to his island to start cleansing it again.
Turn 5 - Started shuffling troops over to HC's island, and he's got knights :suprise: We need pikes, and fast. Or alot of pults.
Turn 6 - Looks like HC already started resettling his island, we need to stop this.
Turn 7 - More unit shuffling.
Turn 8 - Learned MT, started researching Engineering.
Turn 9 - Started our stack towards HC territory.
Turn 10 - Our stack is right outside his territory, next turn player can start the attack.

Now that we're out of GA, we're back to 40% research rate to get out of deficit. I've already started building some cavs but our current stack should be enough to handle HC. We'll need more pults than what we have to suicide and help keep our main stack alive, but we'll need those cavs soon.

Consider this "I got it" and will play tonight/tomorrow. Unless Talamane wants to take it now he's more than welcome.
