Joined a MP game today...

The host named the game, "MASTERS" and played as Greece, ran over his songhai neighbor with cavalry, ran over venice, never puppeted, never build courthouse...

I had some trouble with a Rome player with early catapults and a couple legions, razed 2 of his cities, made him quit, and proceeded to chase Greece into the sea with 8 camel archers, 4 pikemen, and a few swords just getting upgraded to longswords as I liberated Venice...

I guess I'm the MASTER of MASTERS!

But seriously, don't make a game called "MASTERS", and play as a rushing Greek cheeseball. It's tacky.

I wished there was player ratings/matching like in StarCraft so we can play people of the same skill level. My MP games so far been either my opponents who were new/inexperienced or experts that I have no chance against.

Well if you join Civplayers you will be ranked after a few games, now I admit there are not too many players that have played enough games to have a meaningful rank but you can have a look here at the Civ5 Standings.

157 ranked players as of this post. In a month or two the glicko system will have enough over data to be very accurate for players that play often.

We use glicko2 which is an improvement in ELO.

Wow that's great, it's so good to see such a community already developing in civ5
