T5: 1890AD nothing, waiting for techs: Robotics and Laser, before we can complete.

I got it (that was a fast turn around) and will play tonight.

Looks like more the last time, wait for the AI to research a needed tech then steal that tech and convert a pre-build to a spaceship part. Due to the need for The Laser to research Robotics, it's doubtful I'll be able to finish this one, but sometime during the next cycle it's a distinct possibility for a win.

I imagine we've started to amass a nuclear deterent, if not I'll add a few to our arsenal.

boomers are amassed off the french coast and there's a scattering of icbm's around. actually, the icbm's are perfect spaceship part prebuilds :)
 
Sorry for the delay, GOTM 36 is taking longer than expected. I am going for a 100K win and have gotten to 105K thought the Indians were preventing a win so I killed them off, and still haven't won. I'll put GOTM 36 on hold and play this tonight.

Turn 1 – 1892 AD – Spend 6092g (Careful Steal) and fail to steal Nuclear Power from Byzantines, but our spy is not discovered – Spend 6092g (Careful Steal) and steal Nuclear Power from France – Trade Nuclear Power to Greece for 970g (turn down the 102gpt)

IBT: Just some Babylonian fleet movements

Turn 2 – 1894 AD – Clean up a couple of tiles and load a pair of boomers and send the to France

IBT: Watch some Byzantine workers clean up some damage

Turn 3 – 1896 AD – Clean up a lot of pollution – load another boomer

IBT: France adds SS Engine

Turn 4 – 1898 AD – Lots more pollution clean up – Trade Dyes + Ivory to Babylon for 46gpt

IBT: Made it through without a single war – Decline UN Vote

Turn 5 – 1900 AD – Just more pollution clean up

Not much to say, all I managed was a single tech and no SS parts. I did manage to add quite a few ICBMs & Loaded Boomers, so in case anything starts we have overkill response.

IT - Cure for Cancer finishes in Bath. Byz add Exterior Casing
1910 - France & Byz have Laser. Steal Laser from Byz.

Pollution clean up is tedious. Started building mass transit in places. Building paratroops for airborne assault on Athens when the time comes. Our civ has 90k culture. Athens has 16k culture. Bath building palace (13). Middleburg building Longevity (10). Canterbury (I think) is building the party lounge, done in one. Didn't make any deals. Do we need more jets for defense?
 
Got it. Thinking about what to do about the Byzantines, they're starting to get a few spaceship parts.
