Just for fun: New traits.

Cristo Redentor with SPI. Though that's partly (mostly) because it's similar to the other half of the SPI trait. I guess it has some flavor with the whole Christ thing and all.

I know it's giving you no anarchy bonus (as do spiritual trait), but do you actually build it with double speed when you have spiritual trait??? If so, it doesn't make sense, it would be completelly useless "fast" wonder for spirituals...

It's not completely useless - it drops the civic changing cooldown from 5 turns to 1. Plus the GE points obviously.

Which ones? I clearly don't know something
Some examples:
Aggressive: Double production speed of Barracks and Drydock.
Creative: Double production speed of Library, Theater, and Colosseum.
Expansive: Double production speed of Granary and Harbor.
Industrious: Wonder production increased 50 percent. Double production speed of Forge...
The complete list of traits can be found HERE

Yes, but not wonders, except industrious which is applied to all wonders...
(christo redento is the only wonder that is given double speed bonus from a trait as I understand)

My science trait was a lot different than others posted on the forum...I think I proposed it in a new thread awhile back, but nobody paid any attention to it.

Academic
+1 :science: for every population point
Double production for Observatories, Research Labs

Deciever > Spying

Honorable- Instead of just dying, units will sacrafice themselves to kill off portions of attacking unit's health. (10* ratio? Axemen V.S. Axe men = 1 ratio = 10 damage? Tank V.S. Spearmen is 0.14 ratio = 1.4 kill damage?)

For what it's worth, I've added 2 traits to the game, that seem balanced and unique. Actually Strategic hasn't been added yet, as I'm still touching up some of the SDK code, but it's done functionally, and will be included shortly.

Enlightened:
  • Non State :religion: still produces :culture:
  • +10% :science:
  • Double Production Speed of Monastery, Observatory, Research Lab

Strategic:
  • Units can upgrade outside of national borders
  • Spys start with Logistics Promotion
  • Double Production Speed of Spys
  • Double Production Speed of Stable, Airbase, Intelligence Agency

I fail to see the logic behinf it. Why observatory and research lab ?

I would remove thoses two, and maybe add a little bonus, like +1 :science: for each temple and monastery.

I love. I don't see what logistic do, but everything else seem sweet, the name is good, and it may be balanced - even if an agressive / strategic may really pump up rushs with mounted unit.

Well Legends of Revolution has been in development for a while, and the current setup seems balanced. Most users consider Enlightened a top tier trait, along with Charismatic and Financial, but no stronger. The reason for the double production of Observatories and Research Labs is so that the scientific aspect of the trait keeps going strong in the late game, by the time Labs become available the +10% :science: bonus for the trait starts to become underwhelming and the double production of those buildings keeps the trait viable.

Logistics is a spy promotion, since LoR incorporates Super Spies, you can promote spies, and get a 007 unit. Logistics opens up the logistics line, and gives the spy +1 movement. The trait isn't out yet, but this is what I've settled on, as it seems balanced and unique. The ability to upgrade in enemy territory will be very powerful I think. Anyway this will make it into the next build of LoR, along with the new leaders who will have the trait.

Anyway, was mainly showing the traits I had created because I think traits need something unique, they need to stand out and do something unlike the other traits to be good.

Your new traits make sense. Are you going to assign them to leaders in LoR? If so, I'll wait a bit to download it.
Personal aside: I swore off modpacks until I followed the link in your sig and read the LoR thread. The modpacks I tried in the past were either too full of fluff or they overtaxed the AI to the point where even I could win on Monarch. Looking forward to giving LoR a spin.

Mecanically it can work, but my vision of an enlightned society does not specially involve observatory or science lab, that 's what cause me trouble.

Enlightened has already been out a while. But I just finished up the code for Strategic, so we will need to add in a few new leaders and reshuffle the traits to accomadate it. There are also some sizeable improvements coming in the next RevDCM release (RevDCM is used as the core for many mods, including LoR), such as incorporating the CAR mod to significantly improve performance (Huge maps in the late game are reportedly going 3 times as fast), and better exposure of the Revolution effects, as well as significant AI improvements. So there is alot coming down the pike. I still consider LoR in beta, but the next update will pretty much be a final version, something akin to what I think an official expansion would look like.

This was my experience too, and is why I built LoR. And keep in mind kitchen sink mods are very popular, RoM for instance has over 100,000 downloads, so I can't knock it's aproach, it must be doing something right.

While I like to talk about the mod I work on, there are also some other great mods that I think are built very concisely and proffesionally. I like to point them out because they aren't as popular as they deserve to be for how well done they are. History of Three Kingdoms, and Planetfall are the two main mods I think more players would enjoy if they checked them out.

I also tried a lot of mods and I agree that most mods are too full of "fluff" or whatever or screwing the AI.
That LoR sure looks good for now... (just downloaded) but philosophical, enlightened Lenin???:crazyeye: I would have understood him being charismatic and something else, but philosophical and enlightened???

p.s. I'm not directly asking you binhthuy71, just used you for quote ;)
