Did I give you permission to speak? No! So get back in the basement and finish my laundry before I go to work tomorrow. When I want your opinion, I'll have my secretary Rocinante email it to you...

Yeah, and don't put in too much starch, either!

Seriously folks, we have a stalled game on our hands. It is now way, way past midnight Blocki-time. Can we play on with seven or should we start over and look for a new player or what?

I'm serious about this trading thing also. How can we trade--when it is my turn it isn't your turn if you get my drift. I mean if superslugbait wanted to trade his bonus nukes to warmonger sam he can't because it can't simultaneously be both their turns. (yes, contrary to popular opinion, English is my first language.)

What's the decision, Kaboth, are we going to play or just practice our typing skills.

I didn't understand a damn word Rocinate just said, but i personally believe sent the file to Blocki, who is clearly not active in this game anymore, should just reload the game, take Blocki's first turn, disband his settler, get super-stoned and forget his starting location, and then send the save of that to Kaboth, and we can just continue playing as if nothing ever happened.

Ok, unless Blocki shows up we ought to begin with the plan ASAP.

--Ok, unless Blocki shows up we ought to begin with the plan ASAP.--

Kaboth must know Blocki's password so what are we waiting for?

However, having said that, it is now beddy-by time for little Rocinante so it can all wait until tomorrow.

Blocki hasn't taken his first turn yet, so he doesn't even have a password, so whoever has the save, i think Tweedledee, jus thas to go in, take his turn and disband his settler, send the save to Kaboth, and problem solved.

hey!

I have yesterday no time for civ. Why i´m kick?

Your not kicked yet Blocki if you play your turn now and pass it onto the next player and continue to play efficiently you can stay but as stated in the rules you should check your email at least once twice a day and acknowledge in this post when you pass the save onto the next player. If you can't do this please tell us ASAP so we can arrange replacement or leave you out of game. Any further delays will force me to boot you.

Blocki I have no password from you I would appreciate it if you could email it to me.

I've sent the save to Kaboth now so he can decide to kick him out or look for a replacement.

Thanks for that Tweedledee.

As for alliances your welcome to break them and betray friends if you like but don't be suprised if you get an MA used against you. The more loyal you are the less of a percieved threat you are.

Trading is done over several terms in PBEM as in hotseat. So in game terms this can be slow so speed it up by emailing PMing, IMing who you wish to trade with to help arrange negotiations.

Alright, i think everyone is cool, but we need more strict adherence to the rules. We live in a society of laws dammit, and i'll not have a few bad apples spoil the bunch, or something.

Try to post here once a day fi you can, at very least check your
e-mail once a day, preferrably twice.

About trading, what you do in multiplayer is send someone an offer, for example:

We Give: Alphabet

and on that person's turn they will get the message, adn can respond with

We Give: Masonry

ANd send it to the original sender, and if he approves, it's a done deal, if not, you send the offer back to be negotioated further, so it may be better to work out some deals ahead of time in the forum to avoid long negotiations. Of course, if you want to keep the deal secret.....

And as for Gold, we humans are smarter than the AI's, so don't try to rush to get Polytheism because the AI will give you oodles of techs for it, a human will only trade you one tech for it, chances are.

Likewise in teh Industrial age don't expect to sell a tech for 200 GPT because no human is gonna go for that unless they are way rich or have an evil scheme up their sleave.

Yeh if I offered anyone 200gpt it would be because I was attacking them next turn

Yeah, i'd liek at least one turn a day. Not a full 8 person rotation, but at least teh game moving form one guy to the next per day. These games require constant activity and participation people. Not to mention communication.

Hey, I just started a new thread here offering to host a PBEM game--anybody interested?

This game doesn't look to be going anywhere soon.

Blocki has 7 more hours left before 24 hours have past since my last post explaining I had not kicked him yet. If I fail to receive an email by then I will take my turn and keep the game going. We have 7 people still that's plenty I'm sure the rest of you can't be bothered waiting for another.

Personally, with mounting evidence, i think Blocki is less than interested in this game, and not taking it as seriousely as some of us which holds it up and makes it suck for the more dedicated. If we don't hear from him by tomorrow, i think he's gonna have to be tossed.

Ok Blocki's time limit expired and he will not be playing anymore as we all have only done one turn I took the liberty to start a new game with same settings just the 7 of us. Hope nobody minds, sorry to those who lost your uber start locations.

4000 bc has been sent to CaptainCommando

I will start posting more actively, this is my first PBEM and I didn't realize how important communications are.

For future reference, if anyone wants to create deals with me, I can be reached by email (I check it several times an hour, I'm anxious for a certain Worlds of Warcraft Beta email) or by PM (I will start checking these boards at least once a day, more than likely five or six times a day) and would prefer deals agreed to before-hand so that we don't waste turns in-game.

Secondly, I'm sincerely sorry for those of you who lost amazing starting positions. That must suck, but hopefully you'll at least still get a decent place (and hopefully this time *I'll* be the one with an amazing starting position :goodjob: ) Anyways, since the game has restarted does anyone want to share what their original godly starting position was?

Mine wasn't all that hot, just had like a bonus grassland and some hills that would be nice in the future, but it was pretty weak as starting positions go :(

Tweedledee: My sincere apologies; you are by all appearances quite the opposite of what I first assumed. Your response was mature and I really appreciate your explaining the situation, rather than just fighting fire with fire. I am glad you're still in and look forward to playing with ya :)

Everyone: If you betray or backstab me in-game, I won't be upset about it out-of-game... but I will try my best to take you out with me, so be warned ;)

And I'm glad we're restarting, because if this game is going to get done before we all die of natural causes, we'll definately need everyone to be serious about playing.

Oh, and just so everyone knows, this weekend I'll be gone from friday around 2 until sunday around 6 (EST), so my apologies if I get the .sav during this time and hold the game up. I am still quite serious about playing, and this should not happen very often at all.

Edit: Grammar and had to fix a smilie

I'll be on the road myself for Friday and Saturday for sure, I'm not sure about Sunday...
