KI and Settlers?

I play with Version 6085 an i note, that the KI only settle on her own continent... They not settle on other continents or isles.
The Ki have wars with other KI, but do not invade them... although they have the opportunity. I have reached the industrial era, the best KIs are in the Renessaince. They can buld ships, that can travel over oceans, but no Settler is seen...
At war, i have only seen Logan destroying greek Ships, but no transports with invasion troops was coming (although he have Transports).

It would be a good solution for Ai to handle coast/ocean plots like it handles chokepoints now. Perhaps, that would help to flush invasion troops out more frequently?

Btw., Chaktor, contrary to german, in english the AI (KI) is neutrum, so it's not "her" troops but "its" ;-)
 
Okay... And I'm still considered to write it there... But i thought, this is only for war strategies. ^^
Now the linguistic characteristics are a stumbling block... My english is not the best. But i try my best. I usually have little to do with english. *g*

It's badly named. I am very happy to consolidate all AI-related issues in that thread (a sub-forum might be better but that's harder to arrange)

I completely agree here, i have a game in the Modern Era, and have not seen ANY/NONE/ZIP/NADA any other civ transport what so ever, not even a HINT of one, now thats bad AI, IMPO.:sad:

Also in my game i have like 15 spies in a Civs area, just taking their time, destroying his resources withOUT anything happening to them, i can do it even right next to their capital, and nothing happens to the spy. I have done this now for over 500 turns.
 
Playing the GEM, I saw that the Celts had some cities in Greenland as well (Barbarian), Japan had more than one island and the Siamese had a city in uhm... East Treamor or something like that. It was an island for sure :P

But the Zulu controlled the whole african continent, but not Madagaskar.

Would it be helpfull if we'd edit the first post from the AI thread so you had all issues in one post?

Depends what you mean by helpful ;)

At some level yes (and I would appreciate it), but honestly, I have far too limited an amount of time to tackle many points anyway. We need more than on AI programmer really.

Mo. I wouldn't know who to ask frankly. Anyway, the C2C source code and patterns for the AI are fairly significantly different to regular BTS, so for the most part things would not be portable between mods (except conceptually), which means we'd be asking them to work on C2C and then redo the work for their own mods - not a particularly attractive proposition I would say.
