Kids playing multiplayer

I had a duel against an immature on multiplayer that quit on me... later I found out it was a 10 year old kid. Then it suddenly made sense, I was judging him as an adult, his messages were mature for his age, it didn't occur to me he was so young. But he still quit, I will remember that.

So I want to urge people... please realize that you might be playing children when you type comments in a heated game. I don't think age really mattes in this game, just attitude/how well you play/willing to learn.

I've never played a duel match, but at what point does the game stop? If I'm down to one city, and it's obvious I'm going to lose, am I able to just surrender or does the game have to drag out to the bitter end?

Game stops when somebody quits (is a resign) or they realize it is hopeless. Duels ancient start - usually it ends at around steel or before among the top players I have played, unless there is a really rugged terrain map. When I play people not used to duels, I win early during swords. They don't realize that duels on pangea map are very different than playing normal civ. Also some build early wonder and I win quickly, they find too many swords at their capital.
