Kill all Scouts

Note for futue use. Dont use strategy against AI with resourceless UU.

It's irrelevant since archers beat warriors anyway. It only works if your opponent has no archers out in a stack with or adjacent to their workers. I steal workers often and find it difficult to believe that the AI doesn't escort workers on immortal since it frequently does in my emperor games, but it's possible.

The issues I had with this strategy is the AI sneaking out units to work horse or copper tiles. You do need to get axes and other units to protect your warrior. A warrior with woodesmen II will rarely be attacked by the AI.

Holkans were an issue and so would be Dog soldiers.

I think the Ai will always leave its worker unprotected in places. ;)

Anyone else witnessing the same 50000 pound amphibious elephant in this topic?

Provided it is in woodland. The problem is that the workers you want to steal will often be found working a non-forested tile. If you move into that tile to steal the worker, you face the very real possibility of being counter-attacked by an adjacent archer.

That's not to say that worker stealing is impractical. It's just situational. If I spot an undefended worker I will steal it. But starting out a game banking on finding numerous undefended workers is going to backfire on you occasionally.

bwahahahahahaahahhahahahahahahahahaha

EDIT: I assume that you used the auto promotion option to keep the AI guessing? Brilliant!

I really only think about worker stealing when I get a hut that gives the warrior XP. Then I make him woody2 and go hunting. There's not much else you can do with that particular hut outcome.

timing on this is important if fighting two or more civs- you can effectivley nuetralize one- cast off the other-go back to the one ect.

I remember a fight i saw in me youth- one kinda tall almost fat boy in a karate stand taking on two wild redneck brothers. The fat boy would throw one of brothers off- beat the crap out of the other and toss him- and then beat the crap out of the returning brother and throw him off and repeat.

i refer to this as the "have a fat stack that can move quickly" theory.

the evidence is clear- Kill all scouts- and learn how to fight two civs or more at the same time- it will help you in multiplayer as well. This is the superior

I do think if you do this right you can steal 4-6 workers. I would agree there is an element of luck in terms of how easy it is to steal the workers. A Ai surrounded by flood plains will be tough to steal from.

gave it a few more goes- and found that two civs fairly far away (not real close rather)
can be handled with a duel scout kill fairly easily.

much like described above- one border throwing off an assualt- the other making a kill-

(in game it was destroying Hannible to the sout- while fending off pascal to the west- then a turn to
pascal on the offensive)

i would say that if you are utelizing this don't stop- keep it up- a peace treaty as option afor elimimating one of two perhaps is doable

Sounds like Pascal's wager paid off in this case. ;)

Fact- Pascal worrying about god all the time

Fact- Pacal worrying about being god all the time

Touché! :) He did act pretty demanding and arrogant in my last game, until he'd lost most of his cities.
