Kill two cs get denounce?

yes, I was being sarcastic.

The AI doesn't care that you're one part away from SS victory, 1 city state ally away from winning with the next vote or 1% away from being culturally dominant over the last civ.

But if you dare to win the game through domination, they'll denounce you after you take out one civ and permawar you after taking out a second.

Yes that's true, but if you were half way on a domination victory, everyone would hate you for it.

The AI used to care about you trying to win through more peaceful means but people whined so they took it out. Personally I'd rather they put it back in; there's no second place in Civ V, the AI should be looking to stop others from achieving victory regardless of how they're doing it.

The AI most certainly cares.
In one of my games I was 1 turn from a diplo victory and Egypt managed to get everyone to DOW me, thus I lost my five votes from diplomats. Then it proceeded to take out my CS allies(no warmonger penalties for every civ but me). Normally the AI will sue for peace after so many turns, in this case the only way was for me to take out Denmark and the most of Egypt.

In my last game I was waiting for the DOW from Byzantium or Russia as I was 2 turns from a diplo victory, It didn't come as she was 1 turn from a science victory.....In that same game England had declared war on France(a mutual freind of me Russia and Byzantium), and unbeknown to me at the time had captured a CS and I got the call from Russia and Byzantium to DOW England. I took out England but suffered no diplo penalty, except from China who were at war with France anyway.

If you want to avoid warmonger penalties get your friends to join in, and keep away from at war CS. Or if you can't do that try and get as many cites out of a peace deal.

Aye, I'm sad they took that out. I don't think it has to be as extreme as in, for example, CivRev where I've heard every civ automatically DOW's anyone about to win, but at least they've got the right spirit.

I took out two CS once since they declared war on me, and it was pretty much game over after that. The whole world denounced me and DOWed me after that. Even "friends".
You would think they would congratulate me for successfully defend myself against an agressor, or even send military assistance, but nooo.....

Not really strange though since the diplomacy system is completely broken/non existent. Nothing really makes any sense at all in this game. BNW made things better, but since this games diplomacy is so abysmally bad from the start its very hard to make it good with just an expansion. It needs to be redesigned from the bottom up. Maybe they can hire Creative Assembly to do it for them? Or some other studio? Firaxis doesn't really seem very competent when it comes to AI and Diplomatic systems... Sorry to say...

Well, the AI's hate it when you eliminate a Civ. And the one city CS is treated as a Civ. So you take out two of them, and the AI thinks you are getting close to a Domination victory or something, :crazyeye:

warmongering is scaled by map size and civilization size and total # of cities.

Killing off a civ on their last 2 cities will give you a higher penalty than taking 2 cities from a large empire with 15 cities.

I wasted 4 missionaries on Sukothai the Holy City of Buddhism. :cringe:

Australia has Sydney and Melbourne yay happiness. Also Uluru and Barrier Reef are helpful.

I really need to find more trade partners. >_>

You could have just used one inquisitor to remove the religion....

Also, why are you building a road through Australia when depansar has such small pop and you don't have a harbor in your coastal Australian city?

uuumm cause im noob  I took Liberty so have tons of workers and they don't do anything. Yes I know I'm losing money.

That always seems to happen when taking Liberty and then completing the Pyramids. Either expand, expand, expand. Or disband the extra 2 workers or so when all land improvements are complete. If you need workers later, they can be produced really quickly in the mid and especially late game.
