I beat it on standard continents King with 2 cities 59 turns earlier than last time. I had Alex and Rammy for neighbors. I had a great, green river valley surrounded by hills with marble to start.

Alex attacked soon after I founded city 2, but I needed the city for horse because there was no iron. I was able to put out 3 or 4 knights just in time and he lost the war.

I puppeted 4 Greek cities including Athens and kept them that way until all my social policies were finished.

Rammy started getting big and attacking my 1 freindly culture city state, so I had to fight him, also with Kinight. Five knights was my main force all game. Later on I added 3 Musketeers and 2 cannons. Eventually I completely killed Rammy because he was locked in constant war with my CS ally.

At the end I was making 400 CPT, 8 Land Marks in Paris. Researched as far a plastics.

TIP: I have a theory that you can keep adding cities to your total if going for culture as long as you can put a wonder in each one.

Nicely done. Just finnished a prince cultural victory to try try it out. Had 700 CPT most of the end game. Need to optimize more next game i think.

Very interesting, and nicely done.

Now, I'm wondering how that would work with half the cities, in other words, a One City Challenge.

I think I may have to try that one soon.

I just did it with 2 cities, NO puppets. Siam, King, Archipelago, Standard size/speed. Took until turn 480 or so. Got close to 400CPT, but lack of money meant that I was no longer able to ally with CS to keep bonus culture and food coming.

I'm envious. I'd love to try budweiser's method with 2 cities, but I keep having this itch to build settlers every time I see a river with good resources nearby. It's an addiction, I'm convinced of it .:crazyeye:
