Kingdom Come: Deception (Game Thread)

Go read my reads. I don't think I distanced from Zelda once, because I never suspected him.

I'm not talking about whether you were distancing or not, I'm talking about "When he's scum, he doesn't like posting" being not something I would have said about Pzelda. So whatever your intent in that post, it is a shady post, unless you have some reason for saying that.

That was my opinion at the time. I was too influenced by Franklin where he was too busy irl.

I was wrong.

Reads - No Particular Order except Sections

Town Leans
Csargo - More participation than his last few games as mafia
Visorslash - Typical Visor operation, even if he's dead wrong about me. :smug:
Pzelda - Feels like he is solving better than our game with him as a partner.

Null
LordArgon - Feels like... LordArgon. I dunno, when was the last time LA was scum? Tone seems legit enough.
JohannaK - Typical Jo. Waiting for him to get riled up to see what happens.
MarcherJovian - Nothing.
Timsup2nothin - Conflicting symbols in my brain. It's difficult for me to trust him given our shady past together. I do like that he did not try to play up illiteracy. That would have been feeding the chaos.
Takhisis - Screaming at the top of his lungs as illiterate. Typical Tak, I can't read him.
GamezRule - Nothing.
Samson - I dunno. Still new to mafia. I like that he
Golden1Knight - :dunno:

Scum-Leans
Rrraskolnikov - Just a slight lean. Not much coming from our friend Rask.
Dolbster - I'm getting flashbacks to before. But I'm not used to his town game... he died N1 in my game.
Rakkoon - Seems to be flying low for Rakkoon's modus operandi.

Once again your read on Pzelda is based in a reminder about our game as the three wolves. My impressions of Pzelda from that game is that he had IRL things that kept him away far too much to make any real assessments of him...and you and I know that because we aren't confused by "maybe just a wolf trying to slank by." We knew he was away, and I was trying hard not to let that game be a false reference. I even sort of hedged that in conversations with you, but you never seemed to pick up on it. Pzelda was a lot more active this game than that, but I took it as him just having more time.

Livestreaming for church soon. I will be back after a while but before I go to bed. :) Post questions - I will answer if you don't post too many.

I admit I am often wrong. Shouldn't have let it influence me so much. But I did.

LOL...I'll keep reading, but probably save the questions until you are available for badgering. And maybe even until after Jo has had a turn.

My readthrough just hit something that made me start over anyway.

Quick read through the thread:

Aight, so first 3 pages are mostly just banter, random votes, and some meta-based speculation off of one or two posts, it helped get the conversation moving but no real hard information, could be active talkie townies, could be scum faking being a talking townie.

Page 4 is when things start getting interesting where Tim makes explicit he’s trying out a new strategy which raised suspicions and caused Tim to be the early lynch leader.

Page 5 is where Lord Argon made the really weird claim about being mortal enemies with someone illiterate. I’m not really sure what to make of that. One thing to note is that csargo made a public claim to being illiterate. At the end of Page 5 is where Tim dropped the his player-by-player analysis.

Page 6. Samson does that interesting analysis of the forum post numbering. Tim makes a bet that Visor is scum if he survives past night 2. Topsecret makes that post explicitly asking a few people for their opinions on other. Dolbster does some analysis—note he finds Tak towncore for being illiterate, which seems odd and might be either pointing-to or faking some private role information.

Page 7. Talk returns about who is/isn’t illiterate and what LA means about being enemies with an illiterate person. Tim thinks asking about everyone’s literacy is a distraction that wastes time, and wants to move onto more productive stuff. LA admits that the illiteracy thing was a day 1 shenanigan.

Page 8. LA says he’s pretty sure that the two admitted illiterates are on his side. Topsecret does an analysis of all players and Samson follows suit.

Page 9. Rakkoon wakes up and puts in two cents. Interesting to note that the people he thinks lean scummy share significant overlap with people topsecret thinks were acting townie. Tim gives a lynch list, also pretty opposed to what Rakkoon said.

Page 10. Tim & Visor do a bit of back-and-forth discussing leads and info

A few people stand out to me as a bit more suspicious than the rest. Lord Argon threw off discussion and caused a distraction with the illiterate targeting shenanigan. Tak has just been acting pretty bizarre, typing in all-caps and just generally making random, not-very-useful statements. Johanna only did one post but apparently that’s normal for him so I’ll defer to y’all. Rrr has also been pretty quiet so far. Golden Knight has very neatly talked a few times and shown activity without actually saying or contributing much, just some early banter and vote that followed a pressure lynch.

Rakkoon is interesting for having such an exactly contrary opinion and not really defending or arguing it. Any further in the game I’d probably see it as a red flag but on day 1 I’d consider having no opinion more suspicious than a contrary opinion. GamezRule has responded to the pressure lynch and claims to not really know what’s going on. I’m fine with him for now but if he doesn’t get caught up and start contributing then it’ll begin to look really suspicious.

Everyone else has kept up enough talking and analysis that I wouldn’t really want to lynch them day 1 without a clear and solid case against them.

This post from page 10 was so interesting that I had to go back and read the whole ten pages over again.

I am tired, not just because it's 1AM, but also because this game has drained me.

Vote: Topsecret

Obviously, it's either Topsecret or I. I was waiting around for the update and it didnt come so I effed off. I am proposing that, whenever Tim settles on a vote, we lock it and call it a day.

Don't wait for me. Maybe I change my mind in the morning but I havent read past the update and I can't care. Topsecret be yadda yadda it's her, I be yadda yadda it's him, and Tim has to decide.

If it is him. He deserves it.

The last him being Tim. It looks like you're doing a re-read. I dont envy you. I hope you make the right choice.

Me too. Can you answer one thing though...

That post from page ten, the Marcher quote...If I was to make my decision just off that post because in my tunnel rat mind he made a bad slip, would you be okay with that?

You too when you get back TS, if you would.

Day one...what a mess. If the Marcher post doesn't pan out, based on day one I'd tie both your necks together and sling one of you over a fence.

The good news is that Visor, Dolbster, and Rask were all scumreading TS so if worst comes to worst I just lynch him and blame them if it's wrong.

It's your choice. Just don't pick wrong. I won't let you live it down. :D

Hey TS when we were wolfin' did I ever tell you to throttle back on the heavy repetitions of "I am not a wolf!!!"?

Not that I know of.

If we wolf together again I might, but you can just say "it is my meta to blurt that I am not a wolf compulsively over and over and over and over..." and I will have to back off.

Could someone who knows how to count cough up a tally please?

Two hours actually, but yeah we need to get sorted out here.

Is anyone else weirded out by the way Marcher's vote follows mine in a sort of lockstep? I'm tempted to vote him just to see what would happen.

To those who thought they found something remarkable in the tallies where Marcher and I seemed to be always in the same place this quote may enhance my reputation.
