Salutations, and well met again, Friends! "La Guerre de Cent Ans – A Hundred Years of War" is a scenario depicting the prolonged intermittent struggle now known as the Hundred Years War, a dynastic struggle for the crown of France. These wars were fought between the Kingdoms of England and France, along with a various and rotating set of allies. This mod is centered on showing off the great artwork of zwei833, bernie14, and nutty. The rest of the mod is built as a stage for these models to trod upon.

The Kings of England and France must raise support of the noble families who hold sway over most of England. The main struggle of the times is between these two kingdoms. However, other nations on the border of France could considerably influence the outcome of this struggle. The Burgundians and Bretons will fight strongly to maintain their relative freedom from the French crown. The Empire is always looking for new lands to add to their holdings. The Knights Templar simply want to survive and hopefully maintain some of the ancient wealth and influence.

Due to the feudal manner in which societies were organized, sovereigns were forced to rely on subordinate nobles to raise armies, collect taxes, and keep the peace. This scenario implements this dynamic by using Fiefdoms (aka City States), which must be influenced, bullied, or even conquered, in order to get them to comply with royal instruction.

TLDR;
- Six playable civs: England, France, Burgundy, Brittany, Holy Roman Empire, and Knights Templar

- Monthly turns, 1337 - 1377 AD, 480 turns max; Timed and Domination victories only

- There are 57 reskinned units, 26 new buildings

- Holy Roman Empire can use “Diplomatic Intrigue,” aka Diplomatic Marriage, to acquire city states

- Most units available earlier on the tech tree than the standard game

- Research takes longer; constructing buildings and units not so much

- Magnates, or super Great Generals, are available to all Civs


Recommended Mods: “Quick Turns” by Krzyzyk, as the AI tends to produce large numbers of units.

Another great scenario :)

Do you still have plans to make more scenarios or are you in support phase for the two for now?

EDIT: Also, have you considered using the Community Patch as a base dll for AI improvements?
 
Hey, thanks! Am working on a Napoleonic scenario with 4 or 5 maps. Playable civs are France, UK, Austria, Prussia, Russia, Spain, and the Ottomans. Still a few weeks out, but I think it may be kinda cool. There's a lot of good artwork out there that needs to be put together and should make a beautiful game.

Community patch? I need to take a closer look at that. The AI could use some help, no doubt. Up to know I'd only been able to just give AI a ton of handicaps to make up for the bad play. It's the hardest part of designing a scenario to me - balancing out AI to make the game fun. The patch may make that part easier.
