Laptop without numpad issue

Yeah, I guess everyone who seriously tried multiplayer and especially ladder games gets the picture and problem it may cause So my question is why the hell it is not possible to customize your hot-keys in game options. I am willing to go as far as manually modifying game code. If it is possible and more or less easy could someone give me instructions on where and how I could do it. If not I will probably have to buy keyboard for my laptop, cuz this disadvantage is just too huge damn it.

If you modify your game code, you will have text next to your name that says *MOD* and people will not let you into their game. It is possible to play on a laptop without a number pad, but it is a pain in the butt, so just go buy a cheap keyboard.
