The Trans-canadian Highway goes from west to east...

That I knew from my own.

Checking in my atlas I see that it links Victoria to St-jean de terre neuve.

Batavia and the Molucas and West-Papua were all Dutch India (now called Indonesia). It is cheating. Sorry. Just name them as the form they were in when they were conquered or became independent. NO CITIES!
