Latest Unofficial/Scient Patch does not fix 2048 unit limit!

As above, even the latest unofficial patch from scient does not fix the max unit limit of 2048, and I've seen at least 3 other people reporting this problem?

Does anyone know how to fix this?! It's a real game killer!!!
