Leader Speech

Text -> LeaderDialog -> GenericDialog

I made a thread a few days back where I tried to the same myself.

The answer is simple: it's hardcoded.

The longer answer is: leader music is coded into the leader, and leader speech is coded into the scene. Therefore, Tokugawa who uses the default oda scene speaks correctly, while Oda Nobunaga who uses a different oda scene has the japanese leader music playing. But I can't define who gets what (otherwise I'd have custom music already).

And Civ V was supposed to be the most mod friendly Civ yet :eyeroll:

To clarify my previous post, I was using custom civilizations.

Those are the sound files themselves. I'm looking for the reference that defines which leader gets which sound.

So, would that not be the reference in the XML-Civilizations-Civilizations5 file that says, for example:
<DawnOfManAudio>AS2D_DOM_SPEECH_UNITED_STATES</DawnOfManAudio> ?

That's for Dawn of Man only, and it's not tied by civilization but leader for the diplo music and scene for the talking.
