Leaderheads causing game to crash

First off, this is probably a problem localised to my version of the game and it only concerns two leaderhead animations; Boudica and Joao II. Any time their animations are meant to show up (diplomacy screen, civilization selection) the game goes black and I get the standard windows error message bringing me to the desktop. If I try to view any information on them in the civilopedia there is absolutely nothing, no animation or text, but the game does not crash. All other leaderhead animations seem to play correctly.

Any thoughts?

Well, they're both 'new' leaderheads - what about the other new ones? (Sitting Bull, pacal etc)? Have you tried updating your video drivers? What card do you have>?
