Let's discuss the voice actors of each leader. However, it is speculative right now, as we won't know who are the voice actors until the manual is released.

I suspect that Civ VI Montezuma is voiced by the same person who did Civ V Montezuma.

Trajan sounds like a slightly elderly Augustus.

I think Sean Bean should voice every leader in the game, turn his voice higher with ladies and do some stereotypical japanese-english accent with Hojo etc.

My friend's dad works at Firaxis and he says that the guy from Short Circuit is doing the voice for Gandhi

I wonder which language they will pick for Gilgamesh. Sumerian is a dead language with no known relatives.

The leaders whom I heard the most clearly are Teddy, Victoria, Catherine de Medici, Cleopatra, Hojo Tokimune, Montezuma, Pedro II and Qin Shi Huang, who are the leaders of the civs Firaxis allowed to be shown in the gameplay videos.

Teddy's voice seems to sound accurate. I heard an old recording of Roosevelt's voice and he didn't seem to have a deep voice.

Victoria's voice acting is alright, I guess. No idea if we have any clue how the real life Victoria sounded like.

Cleopatra's voice sounds nice, despite the errors in her Middle Egyptian.

Catherine de Medici's voice has an accent according to native French speakers, it likely they picked a voice actress who knows both Italian and French to reflect the real Catherine's background.

Hojo Tokimune's voice actor sounds different from Oda Nobunaga's as far as I can tell. Same with Civ6 Pedro and Civ5 Pedro. Not too sure about Monty's voice.

Qin's voice fits him and sounds pretty regal.

I hope we don't get funny voices like Suleiman (Turkish speakers found him funny sounding) and Genghis Khan (some people said his voice reminded them of fat Albert) in Civ5.

Maybe just the audio of all male leader civs being eliminated from the game.
With all the moves he's done in which his character dies in the movie; he should do a death scene in Civ VI.

Well, the voice acting for Victoria in this video sounded terrible to me. Her speech sounded very forced and dull. Unless this is just placeholder voice acting, and you've seen another video with different voice acting, I'm not sure how her voice acting sounded alright to you :p.

Ok, maybe her acting is pretty bad. Why are there no good English voice actresses for Firaxis to use? Elizabeth's one was pretty unremarkable, plus they didn't even use Elizabethan English.

Trajan should be voiced by that dude from Battlestar Galactica who voiced general Tullius in skyrim.

You guys play with the voices on? That's the first thing I turn off. Then the music. Only SFX for me!

Weird. That sounds way too intimate- with no dialogue or music, but background sound effects. Diplomacy would turn into some weird stare-off, with the leader occasionally appearing to whisper at you.

You like burly Viking men whispering at you or something :p? I think most would agree that having all leaders with moving lips, but with no words coming out is just plain freaky...

I am ready to bet over 95% of people play with full civ sound, because it's very high quality. Especially music.

Count me in. I specially love the Du Gamla,du fria rendition in the Swedish soundtrack (it's IMHO one of the best versions of the song with Sabaton and Ultima Thule covers).

Yes! It was lovely. I've really liked the music in Civ IV and V, and while they get a little repetitive (anything will if you play for 100s or 1000s of hours!), I can't imagine turning it off completely.

Not just that, but Civ VI's defeat sequence should be more than just a giant statue appearing half-buried in the desert as in Civ V.

I quite liked the Ozymandias reference. Plus I'm not someone who enjoys lengthy videos to skip when you lose, at least after seeing it once.

It' not just Civ. It's very confusing to see English characters mangled by voice actors, especially when they're often British actors themselves! Just see Tracer in Overwatch

I also like to nickname the Civ V Defeat Screen Statue "Ozymandia" for that reason. I prefer that the defeat sequence in Civ VI should not take over 15 seconds, yet it should be more than just a static image. I would like to hear how it would be narrated.

Ozymandia might even return in Civ VI, but be more dramatic like the Statue of Liberty scene in Planet of the Apes (or it could be based on the civilization the player is playing as well).
